[Confidential] Pay up! The following is an Anonymous submission from a Revscene member. If the OP would like to respond to anything said in this thread, please PM me. So I borke up with my ex about 1.5years ago. Before the break up I lend her some money(not a whole lot but still quite a bit) which she never paid. Now I did tell her she can pay it off later or she doens't have to pay for it as long as she doesn't have a bf(she still goes go to school so is a bit stressful on her financial so I give her a break). Fastword to now. About a week ago I find out on my own she have been dating one of my friend How long they been going out I have no idea. But they act pretty close. I did suspect something between them before but when I ask they always deny it. In fact I am not ven sure if they cheated while I was stil dating my ex. So now when I try to ask her for the money back she keep saying I said I told her she doens't have to pay it back, which I remind her now that she got a bf so is best to make sure everything is clear. ATM she doesn't go online, she doens't answer my call. I want nothing to do with her and the guy she is dating coz "Bros before Hoes" which he didn't care. My ex is also lying and denying about it. Should I go to her house and demand her to pay up or give her one more chance before I go to her house? |
talk to her parents and be as kind and nice about it |
|
this situation isn't going to get anywhere but nasty. |
how old is she? how responsible are her parents? go talk to them.....how much money we talking about here? $50, $100, $500?? |
Sounds like a sticky situation for the OP, so I'm just gonna speak my mind: Since your "bro" doesn't believe in "bros before hoes", go up to him and tell him that she has week to pay you back before you get her parents involved in this. Assuming that the amount is substantial enough (in the hundreds or thousands), that should be enough for one of them to pay up. What happens between the two of them then is their business. -Physixx |
arrive at her house with a machete and demand her to pay up haha |
^ well since we're doing that might as well get a couple buddies and keep the mini van's doors open, kick down the front door and carry out the plasma tvs, laptops, computers while you're at it |
how much does she owe you? if it's not much.. let it go.. |

If it's $20, $50, or maaaaybe even $100 fine. But "not a whole lot but still quite a bit" may vary from a couple hundred to a couple thousand (or possibly more), depending on the financial background of the OP. IMO, it's not just a matter of letting go of the past, but I guess it would help to get that extra monetary burden off your chest. -Physixx |
Small claims court might be an option. Judge Judy that shit. |
Consider that money gone. |

Yeah unless its a large amount of money, I wouldnt count on getting it back I guess you COULD try to negotiate with her new bf since you guys seem to have a bit of history, being ex-bros and all.. |
how much does she owe you? |

She doesn't have to pay for it as long as she doesn't have a boyfriend? Wow, so you break up and lend money on terms like that? I don't know sounds pretty stupid to begin with. Please please please take that to small claims court but let us know the location and date because I want to see the look on the judges face when you tell him/her why you want to be paid now. Judge: So how much did you lend her and what were the terms? You: Well your honor I lent her "X" and the terms were she didn't have to pay me back as long as she didn't date anyone else. Judge: Grow up son, case dismissed. Seriously, ask for the money if she doesn't pay move on and chaulk it up to a learning experience. For future reference you can't pay people to not date other people because you're still interested in them and hope that they'll get back with you. |
Pure Comedy Now I did tell her she can pay it off later or she doens't have to pay for it as long as she doesn't have a bf |
Honestly ??? Really? you have got to be kidding me. I would contact her, leave a message or send an email. Forget the whole boyfriend thing. Just say that you are wanting to clear all past things and tell her you want to set a date that she can pay you back for. This way she'll contact you to help arrange a date that works for her as well. |
Punch boyfriend, steal phone and wallet = Win for u!! |
ill do it for ya... free of charge.. just tip me :haha: |
If its anything under a grand chop it up as a learning experience. You don't lend money to lovers like money mart lends money. You lent money because you had feelings for the girl. You obviously didnt care if you got the money paid back as long as she had feelings for you as well. |
