No i think he meant its not a criminal offense and not charge-able because the child was taught at home

I acknowledge that this is completely effed up.
but i think the father has a point. it is his right to teach whatever the hell he wants to the child. even if it is this racist bs.
it is a free country.
ie. i can go out on robson street and walk up and down with a sign that says, "I hate chinese people" and that is my right.
I'm not saying this is proper or should be done. but it is our right to do whatever we want...

The problem here is that a child is a seperate entity from the parent. People need to get it out of their head that children are their properties to fuck up however they want. Someone chooses to be an ignorant fucktard? Sad, but whatever. Someone wants to indoctrinate a child with a belief system that basically makes them unable to properly function in facets of society? For chauvinism, look at parallel situations. Who actually goes to court for racist beliefs? People that distribute or broadcast beliefs that a certain race should be treated like shit, outcast, or killed. So if someone was making websites that tried to influence people to take away womens votes, force them to be sex slaves, or just flat out kill them, yeah, that should obviously be an issue, and it quite often has. There's been shitloads of lawsuits and human rights tribunals based on sexism.

However, in my point of view, I would say that it is one's freedom to "hate" a race or a culture in their mind, but he or she may be in breach with hate crime laws if they perform such hatred with speach, writing, and etc.

Canada have it's own culture ? Since when. Canada was pretty much started by a couple different cultures as people immagrated over here. I think true Canadian culture is being able to enjoy mutiple cultures.
