im getting so fustrated..

i try to "launch" the game, but when it loads, it always kicks me back out to my desktop and "minimizes"

It's conflicting with AVG 9, reinstall it and problem should go away

1) right click l4d2 > properties > local files > defragment cache files

I use Avast.

It just gives me engine error: couldn't load library content.

Ive tried adding -novid to the launch settings, verified/defragged files, updated then reinstalled my video driver, reinstalled the game, still no hope.

Valve messed it over for me after the Dec 1. patch. They messed the game up for me with the Nov 21st patch, then fixed it with the Nov 27th patch, then after Dec 1 patch it's broken again.

do you guys have problems with lag ever since the new patch came out?
when the game first came out, my laptop can run it very smoothly.

now, i am lagging like a bitch when the horde comes out.

i have been getting only 15 fps when the horde comes out.. and even 10fps when i try to "push zombies away"...

i think my laptop is pretty good,

This game is great. Apparently there is an upcoming official Add-on that shows you meeting up with the L4D1 characters.
