dude after playing so many games, this is the first one i've actually pre-ordered.

the hardest mode is crazy, insane.

i just did a quick run through of the first campaign.

they say it's running the same engine as l4d which I had no issues with but it's a lot choppier for me running l4d2.
As powerful as the melee weapons + kick is, i miss the dual pistol action to provide some ranged firing when toting a shotgun..

I've heard people saying it's choppy but mine wasn't at all. Also, you can still get dual pistols, you don't HAVE to have a melee weapon.

The demo was a little disappointing only in that it was too short. I was really hoping to be able to play through an entire campaign not just the first two levels. No epic final battle. Already beat it on hardcore, now I just gotta wait for the release.

Guess you weren't there for the first L4D demo.

Try disabling the multicore option in the advanced video options, it stopped some stuttering I had.

Also, dual pistols are in the demo - just grab a second one off the ground and you got yer dual pistols.

I had more fun in the demo L4D demo than I did in the final game, I think I burned myself out on the 1.5 levels. I'm trying not to do that this time.

How can you expect them to give you a full campagin if that's gonna be 20% of the game on release date lol

^ plus they wouldn't want to give a full demo because people already roughly know how L4D works. they just needed to put out enough of a demo to suck people in.

I don't think that's unreasonable. My point was I played the entire demo (advanced then hardcore) in less than an hour and now have to wait 3 weeks for release. Since there are only the first 2 levels of the campaign there isn't really any replayability to it so there is nothing to do but wait.

and then once they reach 5 campaigns, you guys will have to fork out another $50 for L4D3 :lol

most demo's are just like 1 mission, or some other really short ass thing. it's a DEMO man.

Do you even know what a demo is for? It's not supposed to have replayability, if it did, people wouldn't buy the game. Games that come out with huge demos you never feel like buying because you get most of what you want out of the demo. they're only supposed to give you a taste, and their goal is to have you wanting moar.

is l4d2 going to be as short as l4d1? i got bored of the game in 2 weeks playing the same levels all over again.

Make sure you guys pre-load the game if you already pre-ordered. The game is almost 6.5GB so it'll take a long time to download if you try to get it tonight since the servers will be hammered.
