	         | Driving without a license

I know this is a stupid question, but what if i drove without a license in a car that I did not know who the owner was and happened to be in Vietnam at the moment?
A friend of mine is letting me borrow his car since he has left for Korea, but the car was borrowed from another owner who has left for Vietnam long since.
-Please dont bash/flame etc.

Enjoy the shitloads of fines you'll have to pay, plus impound fees and don't forget you might be arrested on suspicion of stolen property. =] And if the car isn't insured, add another $600.

say if i DONT get into an accident but i just get pulled over.
Because right now, the insurance is intact. If the cops run the plate it will say *blah blah blah *name of car*, *name of colour* , *name of owner* right?
And if i dont look too heaty they wont pull me over so i should be all good because everything is fine , EXCEPT the driver.

			A) pulled over by cops, you would probably get your car towed because you have no license, or they would allow you to call a family member to drive the car away, but since the car is not a relative or even yours, most likely it''ll be towed away.
I wouldn't risk it, just take public transit , because you would be at fault even if you get into an accident, because your not even legal to drive.

			1) you don't have a license.
2) you are not the primary driver of the car.
3) the owner of the car did not give you permission to drive the car.
that's all sorts of illegal to varying degrees.
do not do it. all it takes is having a police record, let alone a criminal record, to preclude you from all sorts of jobs in the future. your entire future... versus just taking the bus.

why would somebody even ask this kind of question?? no license = no driving. pretty simple. no matter who's car it is. if you have no license, don't even risk driving. because you probably can't in the first place since you don't have a license.

Pretty risky.. If you are really that eager to drive then wait and get a license. If you get busted who knows the judge might suspend you from getting a license for awhile? You could be 50 by the time you are allowed to get your license lol
They issue driving licenses for a reason, if you don't have one you pretty much aren't allowed to drive. Driving is a privilege not a right.

If you were pulled over for any reasons, you will face the following other than the reason you got pulled over...
Driving without a valid driver's license
Driving without an insurance
Suspicion of possessing a stolen property
This will lead to the car being impounded (at your expense) and a night at the police station to verify the owner of the vehicle and your reason of possessing the vehicle. With everything included, you will be looking at $1000+ on fines alone (considering the owner is in Vietnam and won't be coming back to claim the car for a long time).
In short, don't drive if you don't have a license and don't drive if you don't have the permission from the owner of the vehicle (and proper insurance for the car).

The car will be impounded for 60 days. The fees will add up to ~$2000, that is if you pull it out on day 61.
If you're a self-absorbed ass, you'll receive a couple of violations under your name. It's not your car, why should you care about it.

also, if you hit a pedestrian then prepare yourself for a million(s) lawsuit.
i personally wouldn't recommend driving without a license. the fact that you're driving without it will mess with your head. you won't be relaxed, constantly worried. this will eventually cause lack of confidence in your driving skills. most likely, causing you to drive sloppy.

DO IT!!! wait unless this is a nammer rice rocket, don't, but if it's a 4volvo or a camry/corolla etc, something anonymous, go for it.
My dad drove without insurance for 2 months in his XC70 because they had mailed it to my mom's office instead of our home because it was a company car. And then we noticed on the plates they were expired, NO ONE LOOKED!
