No cooler is big enough that $5-10 won't fill.

I got two huge bags from even "safeway" for $4-5

If it's not necessary for a few days this is what I do.

I freeze water in plates. When it's frozen I take it out and put it in a bag in the freezer and make more ice with the plate. About 10 plates of ice is usually enough for a cooler for a day.

How about outside the zamboni door exit at any rink. Just ignore any blue or red paint on the ice. ")

Most hotels have an ice room that is locked and requires a key. You'll also be questioned if you walk into the hotel with a cooler.

go to VCC downtown into the culinary arts side, the ice machine is literally on the otherside of the door to the public, if you wanna be super ninja, walk the halls/changeroom and find a uniform.

We had an ice machine at my previous work place (Karaoke). That's where we always get our ice from for BBQs.
