I think McDonalds offers free ice; but they ask you to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald charity fund.

Go buy it at a gas station, most restaurants have an ice machine and u can probably do that, or go to like a hotel/motel and use theirs.

some grocery stores may do it, ask the produce manager or something. at coopers we have a ice machine in the back that just sits there making ice for no use.

The power is still really cheap especially if it's for a customer. and the ppl who will be giving you ice don't pay the bills neways.

Ice machines actually have a relatively high power consumption, very similar to a refrigerator.
