Why do people think our stupid penalties is what cost us the game?

It's already been talked about beforehand, it's even discussed in their meeting that they will be roughing up Byfuglien; Teach him that there's a price to pay in front of the net; that it's a penalty they're willing to kill.

Did anyone see how much abuse the D and Burrows was giving Buffy?

The problem is, if you're team is gonna play dirty for you, come up big and back 'em up on the penalty.

Or don't ask your fucking team to help you out because right now, it seems like this whole team is more distracted about helping Luongo than just playing their game that gave them success in the regular season.

Just like someone mentioned. It's not as if Luongo is the only goalie that's being screened, bumped or hassled.

MG1 05-08-2010 01:31 PM

Now that I'm over yesterday's loss. I'm more optomistic. Do or die is when our team seems to do well. Backs up against the wall.

Go, Canucks, GO!!!!!!!!!!

Mr.HappySilp 05-08-2010 01:38 PM

I think I am going to stop watching hockey for awhile. It seems that everytime when I watch a Canucks game they tend to lose and when I am not watching it they win.

choda 05-08-2010 02:10 PM

Seriously can't believe everyone just giving up on the nucks!! If you had forgotten, Montreal the 8th seed, came back down 3-1 to win against the Washington FREAKING Capitals. We still have a good chance, GO CANUCKS GO!!!

anyways, i'm just disappointed with basically everyone on the team right now. i can understand why mason raymond was chosen as this years unsung hero now, he's been great. vtak!!

Nope he definitely wanted to sign with the Canucks, there was just no cap space for him.

Jackygor 05-08-2010 02:11 PM

Lu needs to pull a halak!!!

ps: Same with rest of the team.

I think Ohlund wanted long term stability more than anything, which he got with his 7 year deal in TB. We were able to add Ehrhoff at 3.1 and Schneider at 2.75 so Ohlund's 3.6 cap hit probably wasn't the issue. Ohlund was 32 at the time and giving him a 7 year deal probably didn't make much sense to Gillis.

this is exactly how i feel i know a huge amount of people jumped off the bandwagon last night im not gonna point fingers but you all know who u are... i for certain may not post too much on this thread but it doesnt prove that i am a canuck fan or not...fact of the matter is that u dnt have to post on threads/forums to be a fan...i know last night a groupof me and my friends sat there watch the game like any other fans and we watched and cheered for our beloved canucks..didnt point fingers @ who's fault it was it seemed like everybody gave up last night...but i still believe that they can come back they have the skills they just have to figure out how they steered away from their gameplay...i am gonna be cheering the canucks on tomorrow and i hope they prevail and if they dont well i will still be cheerinbg them on until they win the cup and after... GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!

murd0c 05-08-2010 03:36 PM

There is no bandwagon in my eyes I bleed blue, white and green.

dim_sum 05-08-2010 04:08 PM

everybody's getting on Luongo's case like its all his fault but its the PK that's letting us down. i'm no bandwagoner, but unless our PK gets better than that 64% its currently at, there is no cup run.

its really frustrating when our team was one of the league's best at PK just a couple years ago and the personell hasn't changed much ... hopefully they can pick it up quick.

mikemhg 05-08-2010 04:15 PM

Everyone who yells Bandwagon jumpers need to get a kick in their fucking mouth.

The fans have every right to be choked. I go to the games, so do a lot of people here, we pay the high prices, we buy the $9 thimble cup beers, we buy the merchandise.

Without the fans this team would be nothing in the first place, people who yell bangwagon jumpers so shut the hell up. At least people are watching. A lot of NHL teams are in cities where folks don't even know their in the playoffs.

I'm sick of the Canucks shitting the bed every playoffs, we've seen it for the last friggin decade. Three of four Northwestern Conference wins, eliminated in the second round, come fucking on.

I love the Canucks but we are going to need to see some changes next season, because clearly what we have going is not working.

Fafine 05-08-2010 04:23 PM

^ calm down, people who say band wagon jumpers do it to make themselves feel like they're die hard fans.

Harvey Specter 05-08-2010 04:27 PM

I still think the Canucks have a chance if Lu can find his game. I still have faith in the Canucks to pull an upset.

Halak. ("power overwhelming")

People need to shut up about the bandwagoning thing. Just because people are criticizing doesn't mean they are jumping ship.

One huge difference...Montreal has heart, we don't.

If you've watched Montreal at all this season, you'll know that they blow. If the Montreal feakin Canadiens can come back, we definitely can as well.

Counting on Lu to find his game these days is like buying a Corolla and hoping it performs like a Lambo.

Not really racist! 05-08-2010 05:04 PM

You guys need to give your heads a shake if you think bandwagon fans are at the top of our worries right now. Instead of whining about this shit, why don't we TRY take a look at our keys to success in the next game or strategies to give us a chance to win. We aren't the coaching staff but its sure better than discussing all this negative shit

1. Luongo needs to play better
2. The Sedins need to score
3. Our special teams need to be better
^ All of these are completely fucking obvious, but HOW is the question. We've been playing pathetic but I rather not have this thread contain 2000 pages of dumb, useless propositions about how this team fails, needs to rebuild, trade Luongo etc. go to CDC for that. There is often logical thoughts and comments in this thread which is why I still continuity keep up with it.

I'm no different than anybody else in this thread but this is my 2 cents; however, this is RS, I doubt I should be expecting this.

Not really racist! 05-08-2010 05:39 PM

YESSSS

Canadiens finally fucking score.

hopefully they can tie it with 27 seconds left

murd0c 05-08-2010 05:51 PM

and over, now hopefully Detroit will pull out another win tonight

Gh0stRider 05-08-2010 06:28 PM

sharks looking fast and getting some good chances.

spoon.ek9 05-08-2010 06:31 PM

You can't be aggressive on your 5 on 5 play or your PK when you're always collapsing on your box to over compensate for your goalie.

I'm really sick and tired of this, protect Luongo crap. Clear the front for Luongo. Clean up Luongo's rebounds. The guy's supposed to be a world class goalie. He may not have Niedermayer or Pronger in front of him but it's not like he doesn't have good defensmens with Edler, Erhoff or Salo and at some point he's gotta do his own fighting through all the above things.

Right now, the more dismal our powerplay gets, the more he pulls his players tighter in the defensive box instead of outwards and pushing the play against the hawks. He has to give his team confidence that his game isn't only limited to outside low quality shots. If he draws his teammates into himself anymore, game 5 is a write off.
