When the canucks win you don't mind spending 8.25 per beer. When they lose it makes you so angry.

Tim Budong 05-07-2010 08:55 PM

to give insight of my opinions

AV not being able to control the team?

We dont really know that now do we?

Sedins getting angry?

U wanna be hacked and slashed night in and night out before and after a whistle? Being cheap shot and held down, anger will be there. i mean, bolland hacked danny in the back of hte leg, theres no protection there, sometimes, its like a cut comin down the back of the leg, its irritating and dangerous.

Building a team Goalie out

The canucks have successfully built the team goalie out. Some of you make the point that when Luu went down this year, the team came through and scored goals. Also remember that the canucks were the 2nd highest scoring team in the league. scoring, built goalie out.

411ken 05-07-2010 08:55 PM

Wow, i was just watching the news and reports say the fans were spitting at the blackhawks players on the way to the bench..... and they say that our fans are the most annoying haha

A decent goalie can get you the Cup. See Cam Ward, J.S Guigere and Detroit's G.

Trade Luongo for a 2nd line sniper and/or a couple good D and this team can go all the way. Canadian's preferably.

If anyone thinks we are getting past the 2nd round with this group of D men they are crazy.

I'd like to FAIL the following group of fanboys who failed my above post.

darthchilli, fliptuner, Jah Gekko, MR_BIGGS, NimbeeTT, nsmb, pure.life, raygunpk, RiceIntegraRS, Soundy, spoon.ek9, trancehead

Note the post above was in mid-January.

^
lol, you're not really giving Giguere and Osgood full crediting for their team winning the cup are you?

Tegra_Devil 05-07-2010 09:03 PM

well time to join us flames on the links boys!.....we got a headstart on the golf, but we know with the year round decent weather here in vancouver, you guys are a lot better than us at golf...teach us some good tips you have learned. ;)

Easy to say this now that we are losing ha?...I bet you'd be the biggest "fan" out there if we were to make the finals...

^ Why would you trade Luongo? He has a cap hit of 5 million osmething.... and you actually dug up your old post? LOL... Let me get you a cookie ;)

rsx 05-07-2010 09:04 PM

Mitchell would've been a difference maker imo.

Luongo didn't have the strongest of games, but it seemed like the D was a step too slow. The D core really needs a leader.

411ken 05-07-2010 09:08 PM

Gary Valk is going off on AV for benching Demitra!! LOL

i'd like to think ur serious, but really ur pullin shit outta ur ass with the trade luongo garbage.

I would like to say, where are you going to find a good 2nd line center or top D man that isnt gonna make either on par or more than what luongo is making now. Remember, to the league, 5.5m is all it matters, not the 10mil front loaded subject in the contract. Thats aquaman's worry. Campbell makes 7mil, likes to skate too deep and be the reason of losing.

Is Corey Schnieder really the answer? NO, he was given a task two years in a row, and in both years have completely crashed. Andrew Raycroft is steady, but again, he's not no1.

Speaking on numbers, 5.5m for a goaltender is pretty average.

spoon.ek9 05-07-2010 09:17 PM

the point i was trying to make in my previous point is that the sedins are no good to us sitting in the penalty box. do what they do best, score!! i'm all for them showing some emotion, but channel that energy into something positive for the team.

i mean honestly, who isn't getting whacked out there? it's part of the game. the hawks kept their composure a hell of a lot better than the canucks did.

your sig says it all.

Tegra_Devil 05-07-2010 09:17 PM

i have to agree....with the above canuck fans....trading luongo would be this teams worst decision

he is a super cheap top 5 goalie

JSALES 05-07-2010 09:27 PM

maybe we'll be like the Montreal Canadiens and come back

stuff99 05-07-2010 09:30 PM

Luongo's cap hit is 5.33

pure.life 05-07-2010 09:32 PM

well.. there is ONE more game remaining.
As Rick Ball and the guys at Team 1040 are saying... this team has a lot of potential and they will make one final push.
Here is to the Canucks playing a FULL 60 minute game and come back home for game 6.. and I can only hope.. game 7

Easier said than done bro.

If anyone would've put the Hawks in their place, the Twins wouldn't have had to fend of themselves and get caught up in the dirty side of hockey.

SOB & Burrows was there trying but that's hardly a deterrent. It's not like we'll be seeing Hordichuk being put on into that role like Quenneville putting Eager or Burrish in; And Bieksa, not nearly as nasty a player as he used to be.

RTS 05-07-2010 09:33 PM

Yes, Luongo is cheap. I mean, look at the comparable remaining goalies:

Andrew Raycroft: $500K
Jaroslav Halak: $800K
Antti Niemi: $826K
Tuuka Rask: $850K
Jimmy Howard: $850K
Marc Andre Fleury: $3.5M

You guys wouldn't take ANY of those guys over Luongo along with another solid Dman?

Even IF Luongo was worth a $5.3M cap hit, he definitely IS NOT worth being our Captain.

Anyway, time to go party. Have fun dreaming during another off season.

is there an explanation to why Bieksa is not the nasty player as he used to be?
I remember when he had that breakout year he was hitting, fighting and playing like a mean D.. why isn't he doing that anymore?

My sig was put there by a dork fanboy mod who needs to get a life. I'll happily take it as long as I'm right. Which... I am

murd0c 05-07-2010 09:36 PM

you guys know we still do have a chance, it seems like they play better this yr in the playoffs on the road. I still have my hopes up!!!

RevYouUp 05-07-2010 09:39 PM

yea nucks in game 7!!!

How can you compare Luongo to ppl on entry level contracts aside from Fluery? You don't think those boys you listed aren't in line for a raise once their entry level is up?

PS - Fluery's cap hit is 5 million. You really want Raycroft to be your #1?

Please talk to Boston, Toronto and Avs fans. I heard Cloutier comes cheap. too.

Educate yourself a little bit please.

68style 05-07-2010 09:40 PM

I think it's retarded to argue over what Luongo's cap space could have gotten us... coulda shoulda woulda... all I care about is that our starting goalie has a fucking 4.25GAA in this series and that's just fucking awful and it's not the defense's fault. God damn NASHVILLE played the Hawks 1 round ago and Pekka Rinne nobody loser shit team goalie had a 2.86GAA against the same team.

Fucking explain that Luongo. I guess the Blackhawks only invented bumping the goalie and jumping on rebounds against the Canucks... they just forgot against Nashville. I hate how Luongo never steps up and takes the blame and LEADS... he is not a captain and never should be... he needs to concentrate 100% on playing goalie and let someone else run the damn team.

fishing666 05-07-2010 09:44 PM

i can't believe a meat shield is worth 5.33mil. Luongo is becoming Cloutier and Alex Auld.

i forgot why cloutier and alex auld left but luongo's time with the canucks is near the end. cbc talked too nicely of luongo saying he makes timely saves...what a joke
this is where we want luongo to perform his best and it ain't showing. Olympic Hockey is a joke btw. Don't fail this post either cuz you know it's true. look at that crowd tonight i think i've been hearing "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" everytime luongo saves one

cctw 05-07-2010 09:44 PM

not gonna comment on Luongo..but the team as a whole is just disappointing..

if we can keep the goals against to only 2 each game from now on we'll have a good chance of coming back...
