Well since everything that has to do with the 08/09 season is over and July
1st is coming very quick I thought it was now appropriate to make the
09/10 Canucks thread.

Rumors will be flying around quick which they already have with the Sedin's over which of course was shot down from the get go (it's at least a good start)

sign gaborik? what are your guys opinions

This is one move I want the Canucks to make, yes people will say his injury prone and we don;t want him. But Gaborik is the game breaker type of player that the Canucks havn't really had since Bure. Look what he did when he came back for the last month when he missed most the year.

I just hope they can sign him for a 1 year deal to give him the chance you can call him a wild card right now but he's not he's just had a bad couple years.

I seriously hope that Gillis will re-sign ohlund and that ohlund will give a little of a home-town discount as well. He's not a stand-out by any means but he's the everyday steady defenseman that every contender will need on a team.

Gaborik > Heatley IMO. But that's just based on pure personal preference. Not on factual merits and disadvantages.

Plus, if my hunches are correct, Gaborik won't be as injury prone when he finally finds a team he likes.

That'll fuck up our cap. Nonetheless, the preference in putting cap priority on offense is just another personal preference by mine. I just love offensive teams that much over defensive ones.

Eklund has less than 4% accuracy when it comes to rumours. And besides, why would the rights to talk/negotiate go the isles? They will get nothing out of it. They may not even be able to sign them and only talk numbers.

If MG traded rights to the sedins and got something out of it like a draft pick. He is GOD.
