RBC Preferred Gold - The usual great RBC/ Visa Service, with more point earning power. Points get used for everything from travel, to merchandise to cash for other RBC services, like line of credit/ mortgage etc. For you guys with multiple cards, why do you do this? I understand if you are back and forth between countries or something, and want a card with local currency for each spot, but if you're always spending in one country, why not just get one good card? I suppose one for business, one for personal makes sense too. |
scotiabank L'earn student visa - up to 1% cashback, 18.59%, no annual fee :) |
Thanks for the response guys! Signed up for the RBC Infinite Avion. You must show proof of income over $60,000 and it has a minimum $10,000 limit. Had to go home and show them my T4. Sounds like a lot have the RBC Avion so I'm looking forward to this. |

I also have a spg mastercard. You can get a free flight with 25000 points (they give you back 5000 after you redeem). And you get 10000 points pretty easily from the start. And you get 1 point per dollar (in increments of 5000) Check out this site for card reviews: http://www.redflagdeals.com/deals/ma...icles/credit1/ It's missing this card though, which imo is the best: http://www.milliondollarjourney.com/...-back-king.htm |

I originally only had the spg card from mbna. I applied half of my spg card's limit to this new card. No credit checks this way and u get it fast. I've heard people being able to get it off the bat.. but others recommend getting another mbna card first and converting it. The great thing about mbna is you can apply for anything and then ask them to apply the credit limit towards this card. It's been a pretty reliable company for me. Decent service whenever I call in. I think they were originally the Canadian branch of Bank of America. Largest issuer of mastercards in North America. more info here: http://www.milliondollarjourney.com/...-back-king.htm |
I have a TD Visa Travel Card. I just redeemed my points back in February and was able to save $750.00 off my fare to Vietnam. |

TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card . it just looks cool cause it's black. almost the same thing as the Avion card at RBC. but with this if you see any specials in the newspapers you can use those points to pay for same special. |

RBC classicc |
I work for them so I'm biased, but then I did do the maths and it seems legit that for flying North America BMO does make sense.... like Avion cheapest flight is 15000 pts which is 15000 dollars. BMO Airmiles cheapest flight is at 850miles which is 17000 dollars BUT if you drive a car and go to shell, or buy stuff at safeway, sportchek, boston pizza etc it can be easily be dropped to 13000 dollars. With the many 2x - 10x special promo at these locations.... for example because you have the no fee BMO card you can go to shell, get their 10x airmiles bonus with the 91 vpower and then because u have the BMO card you get a 2x bonus as well, meaning that it's a 20x bonus airmiles reward....so what gives? You manage to get $1/1 airmile at shell....You can fly out to AB, SK and some 5 state from just 10 tanks of gas! then there was the gold card which, until nov.30th has a 1000 airmiles welcome bonus...so you get to fly for free right away....but of course there's a $99 annual fee....but then it's a 8.75/mo annual fee if you do the maths....you can't even eat a proper lunch at silver tower with that kind of cash and HST... with that card you get your $15/mile dealio too, PLUS a 25% redemption discount so after the free flight your next flight starts at $9562.5 or less depending if you shop at the sponsors.... and a 3x bonus when you shop over at shell safeway etc.... then there's the plat level card which I'm not even sure what kind of dealio it is you get your concierge service (lol reminds me of Juiz from Eden of the East) and then free access to travel lounges worldwide, free flight welcome bonus, you can use the points towards cruising and other shizzle....and other stuff that's too balling for me to comprehend.....oh and the elite points redeem flights in such a way that you don't even pay for taxes.... anyway oh yeah I rock a TD Rewards card LOLOLOL coz they cool and I don't fly much. |
Got a TD Visa rebate card. 1% cash back or something like that, no annual fees. It's been good so far. |
TD Visa Gold Elite 1% cash back no annual fee (as long as you keep $5000 in your account) Deluxe TD Auto Club card - free emergency assistance 24/7 canada/usa ^ i was able to get my car unlocked out in aldergrove free of charge :D |
