Wrong Front License ticket?

So I just got ticket for "Improper display of front license". Thing is I didn't have the front license plate on there to begin with. I realize I really should just put my damn front license plate on so I don't get any more tickets, but I believe the officer gave me the wrong ticket. If I'm not mistaken, improper display of front license applied only to when the plate is altered or placed somewhere it shouldn't be (window... etc). Should i dispute this?

welcome...

I am sure someone posted the very same question a few days ago.

Just my 2cents.
People have mixed reviews on this, but I would dispute or try to call the officer. I would think he is just trying to gouge your bank account for not having a plate.

Great, thanks a lot for the info! I will be disputing the ticket tomorrow. For next time I am just going to leave my front plate on, it's not worth this headache (even thought i HATE the look of it, lol)
