hey jah
i notice you have a ton of d&g shirts, how do those fit ?

G 07-24-2010 09:04 PM

Thinking of buying a jacket made by Lifetime. It has a Chambray shell but I have no idea what kind of material that is... My friend told me it was similar to denim material?

Has anyone heard of this brand and how do you properly take care of "chambray"??

shawn79 07-24-2010 09:11 PM

A bit tight but they look good if you have the body.

Wow, good deal but remember you'll get taxed/duties if you use the express service because delivery via DHL. The other method takes longer but you save the duty.

Ok I didnt want to make a new thread so, for those that shop at luisviaroma, was there any duty fees or other unexpected fees? and how long did the shipping take?

thanks

Hello Jah, so when you order say $200-$300 worth of goods from Asos, even if you use the standard shipping method, you won't get taxed for customs/duties?

Went with the standard flat rate shipping $6 (to the US).

Call me cheap but I plan on wearing the jacket and polo. Asked for a separate invoice for the white collared shirt so I can declare that shirt alone, groceries, gas. Done it repeatedly and never been taxed/dutied. I've carried over $200 back into Canada by myself even though I've only been in the US for like 25 minutes.

I order tons of stuff from them, just ordered the shirt above from them and I just ordered a pair of Dolce & Gabbana runners over the weekend which should be here tomorrow. You pay full taxes/duties, they will not put a lower value. They ship via FedEX and it usually takes 2 business days for your item to arrive.

You will get taxed but no brokerage fees because it's shipped via Royal mail / Canadapost but they changed their standard shipping a few months ago and my last orders using standard shipping arrived very late, almost 3 weeks for one order and another order was 4 weeks late. The issue with express is they use DHL and DHL charges brokerage but express is very quick, within 5 days.

this is so sad... i've been looking for a gray spring cardigan since march, no luck. i've spent the last couple weeks lookin for a black or gray or dark brown/beige winter cardigan, no luck either. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

filth 07-27-2010 12:54 AM

Go to american apparel

Professir 07-27-2010 02:04 AM

I dont want something generic though. I don't want to look flashy, but I'd like my cardigan to have a subtle distinction whether it's a slightly different style or color combination.

How's the ASOS brand? Is the quality decent for the price? There's a duffle coat of theirs that I like. Also, does it fit smaller/larger? I also have the same questions for Junk de Luxe since there's a duffle coat of theirs that I like as well. TIA
