I brought some items to them and they did a great job. The guy helping me out was super patient and answered all my questions well and honestly. I would definitely come here again for future work

+1 for Oakridge tailors, William is the guy who works there. He does GREAT work, I only take my clothes to him.

Love the jacket. I would prefer it be closer to grey than beige but fuck, it's awesome.

$1300 is fair for a nice leather jacket. They'll last you for decades and get better looking as it wears.

Id suggest wearing a solid black suit with a dark grey metallic shirt (preferably with lines running down) and a solid silver tie. It looks frikin legit with some1 wearing white dress. it brings a rly nice contrast.

Uh...metallic anything is only okay in small doses. Metallic shirt says Michael Jackson right after he went a little crazy and started dangling children out of his hotel.

What's this for? Prom? Wedding? I'm just assuming looking at your age in your profile. Apologies if you're not in high school.

Whatever you do, don't wear a white suit if your date is wearing a white dress. That would just look hilarious.

One of the most common things I see in grad photos these days is kids trying to look like they're in Scarface. Stop that shit. It didn't look good in Miami in the '70s and it doesn't look good now.

Telling you this shit from experience! I wore a metallic grey shirt once and now looking back, I just facepalm.

Think simple, elegant and classic. Your girl will probably be more impressed that you have grown up taste in clothes than looking like you're in a rap video.

Matching is a little weird, BTW. When you see the couples at the mall wearing the same shirt, don't you feel a little bad for that dude?

Ronin 05-26-2011 01:01 AM

Perhaps more important than choosing the color of your clothes is getting your clothes to fit right.

Get thee to a good tailor and get him to shrink that suit. Almost every suit available off the rack is too goddamn big. Cheaping out on a suit and then taking it to a really good tailor can turn your $200 suit into a suit that looks like it cost $2000.

Everything should be snug. Cut the pants so they're not baggy and don't drape over your shoes.

Opinions on this watch(hopefully from women)? Just ordered it online for the SO, but not so sure on the Gold anymore. Too much? Anyhow, she's going to have to like it. ha

illicitstylz 05-26-2011 05:10 PM

^ gold is typically for the older crowd. personally wouldn't have bought a watch in general as it's pretty difficult to pick the right one.

hud 91gt 05-26-2011 05:48 PM

Complete impulse buy. The design is exactly what she wants, and she loves the white watch in general. But the gold was risky. We'll see.

Ughh: I cancelled it. Hopefully I won't get screwed over, I've heard bad things about the site.

Ouch.... should just go to macy's and buy it there..... superdry stuff is a rip here and shipping will rape you too, as you found out.

Yeah I thought it over and I'm not interested in wearing anything that interested. Yeah it is for prom and normally I'm the type of guy to wear a crisp white shirt and skinny black tie. Only problem is that this looks very...waiter like? I'm going to get my suit-black suit-altered, didn't like the way it fit the first time around, and was planning to shop for a shirt while I wait for it. My prom is a week and a half away so I'm sort of in a rush.
