Dear revscene,
My mom rarely, like once in a blue moon washes my clothes. Anyways, she did today and I came home from work, I see not 1 or 2 but 5 lighters of mine next to the laundry machine. I need an excuse before my parents smash me in. My dad found a dime bag in the drivers seat before, I used the it's my friends excuse. I doubt they believed that, but i got away.
I can't use firecrackers as an excuse, because the lighters were in seperate hoodies. I think I fucked myself over on this one.
Please help.

tell them that you have been really stressed out and not knowing what to do you have tried smoking for the last month or so. Make some BS up so your parents feel sorry for what your going through.
They know you smoke right now so point lieing it will only get worse.

At 19 I think you're old enough to do what you want within reason. I mean as long as you aren't doing it in their house it isn't really a concern. If it is that big of a deal you could always move out then they really wouldn't have a say.
At 19 my parents had absolutley zero say in what I did not like they would say shit. Then again maybe you're on to something with the white parents with me being white and all.
When confronted just bust out the it could be worse card, at least I'm not a crackhead.

I surmise it'd be difficult to understand for a non-Asian or somebody who has been exposed to the North American culture:
smoking pot is perceived by most growing up in Asia as something just as bad as doing cocaine
The type of exposure marijuana gets in Asia just can't compare to North America.
