Yup, those pics are awesome Senna! Really like the jelly belly one! Grreat colors! The others are not bad either. The bland background doesn't help out much.

The snowbirds had a different routines for Friday and Saturday. While on coffee break (I work in the large hanger on the east side of yxx) they did had a different routine compared to what I saw on Saturday. The cloud was really low on Saturday. Friday I think was a bit better. Nonetheless even a low show was still really good. It was great to see Hawk One fly.

Here is one from Saturday

Oh, I don't know. I liked it. I don't really like the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds, as they're all about speed and power, unlike the Snowbirds that showcase precision and skill. The F117 stealth fighter was retired just over a year ago, so you'll never see it again. The F22 has taken its place, so maybe we'll see it here soon? The B2 bomber cannot fly under 3000 or 5000 feet for security reasons, so even if it was scheduled to do a flyby, you wouldn't have seen it.

A few years ago, the B-2 did exactly 2 flybys. It was scheduled for a Saturday show only. It basically flew like multiple airshows (cannot remember how many) one day, and yxx was one of its shows. It never landed, it just came and went. It was pretty neat to see it.

I think it was 2005 when the B2 was last here. I don't have any digital images of it, so it must have been 2005, as I got my DSLR in October of that year. I seem to recall the B2 on static display a number of years back, but I might be wrong.

It was not raining in Abbotsford - it was the best day to go, as the cloud cover was high.

Senna, really like the juxtaposition of the Maple Leaf and the (Sukhoi? I don't think that's an F-15, and that doesn't look like a Super Hornet...). Makes me feel patriotic... I just wish that was a CF-18!

Thanks, but it's an F-15, and also not my photo.

My Air Cadet instructors would be very disappointed in me right now... are you sure that's an F-15?

And sorry about the miscredit Bootslut!

Yup, forsure thats a F-15! Look at the wings, totally gives it away. Actually everything gives it away. And its Boost, not Boot. :P

Did anyone spot the EA-6B Prowler at the static displays on the weekend? I went on the friday and it wasn't there, but its listed on the airshow website (which warns military commitments may prevent aircraft from attending). Also, did they open up a C-17 Globemaster for static display so you could walk into it?

I wanted to go... First time in a recent history that it hasn't been blazing hot out in Abbotsford!

That's definitely an F-15. The notches on the horizontal tails are pretty distinct!

100% crop

MiG 17

Man, the 1DsmkIII is a crappy piece of shit. The AF works like a champ, but the AE is so unreliable. The screen sucks so much it's difficult to gauge focus. I lost a ton of images that should have been good due to the AE.
