having slept by a river before, i can tell you that earplugs are worth more then food at some sites.
srsly traded earplugs for a 12 pack once. we drank it together, but still.

I always had trouble sleeping when camping by a river. Unless you're talking about a babbling brook, rivers get really loud when you can't hear anything else.

Assuming you guys are having a campfire you can wrap yam, corn, potato with foil and put it directly in the campfire and let it cook and it will be amazing. Also Marshmellows/Smores~
and you can make a makeshift pan, cup, pot etc with alum foil.
how long you guys going? thats alot of food. | Were going for 4 days 3 nights, 10-12 people? we are big eaters, and im control of food so i like variety and quality Gota go big or not go at all! Quote:

In anticipation of the weekend’s hot weather, BC Parks has ordered an open fire ban in campgrounds and on Crown land across the region, beginning Friday.
However, the ban does not restrict fires in camp stoves using gas, propane, or briquettes.

I don't know bout you guys, but when there's rice.. I usually put it in the broth after I finish with all the noodles. It's killer. Especially with those MAMA's noodles zomfg.
