Whatever. Let the hippies have their day. The bikes passing is like waiting at a train crossing.
Its also a protest and the fact that its get drivers so pissed off has made their protest a success. Just ignore them and let them be on their way. Accept the fact that the last friday of every month there will be hippies on the road in the afternoon and don't pay attention to their screaming. Is a protest really a protest is nobody is paying any attention to the cause?
AM730 usually keeps pretty good tabs on where the mass is moving. Just avoid those areas.

Such fucking bullshit. I live downtown, drive to work, but bike everywhere else. Has anyone here ever tried biking around downtown? It's easy as shit. It was easy before the multimillion dollar potted-plant-lined bike lanes.
I don't know what these fucking hippies want. We need cars in this city. It pisses rain 9 months of the year, there is a HANDFUL of year round bikers to justify these lanes. It's so goddamn easy to bike around town I would say ANYONE could do it.
Last year I went nearby and they were chanting "CAMBIE'S NEXT!", like they want to shut down lanes for bikes on the cambie bridge as they did on the burrard bridge. What a bunch of horseshit.
Funny, I don't recall any critical mass gatherings in January in the freezing cold and pissing rain. Assholes.
EDIT: I also love how their websites and blogspots are totally unnavigable and look like they were made by retarded monkeys.

critical mass has nothing to do with protest or making a statement, it is just an excuse for a bunch of people to ride their bikes in group for fun....at the expense of inconveniencing others
