you actually get the B.C. EDL when you have to renew ur drivers license or pass your roadtest or written test. I believe anyone going in for a renewal for the drivers license gets the Enhanced Drives License. no passport line-ups =) and massive paperwork

i think its $70 to get the passport in 24hrs but then you can only turn it in at the main Passport Canada offices instead of the Service Canada outlets

The NEW driver's license, when you renew your license, you will get one similar to the EDL. But I believe the EDL has some special "scanning" or "chip" that goes with the EDL.

Surrey location isn't as bad as long as you go there on a weekday and relatively early

I just took a passport photo at costco.
my left ear seems to be missing in the photo due to the angle
will that be ok? or should I go to costco and get a retake?
