Got rid of my embarassing garbage can lid rims :)

Thanks to RS Sponsor Sora't Wheels in north van for supplying me with these

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2606/...bd8f872d4b.jpg

Wrapped them in 225/45/17 kumho ecsta SPTs

Excellent service, even painted my calipers for me, I never even knew i had discs in the back :haha: what's the point if you can't flaunt your rear calipers the size of an ipod shuffle? XD!!!

Also provided some 5mm spacers to make the wheels look better, cos my originals were 6.5" with a 20 offset, so it's difficult to find a proper fitting wheel at this price range.
Painted the hub for me cause the center caps refused to fit over the hub cos it stuck out so much..

Putting the old 215/60/15s in the trunk was a squeeze but we managed
:D

Would easily recommend them to anyone out there looking for new wheels and tires

Harvey Specter 08-06-2009 06:05 PM

I like them, the wheels look good.

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 06:08 PM

Of course they're knock offs of work cr kais :haha:
and nething would look better than my old ones...

Except the back could really use some 25mm spacers
Anyone wanna help me out? ;)

!Aznboi128 08-06-2009 06:44 PM

Sora't's awesome last time I got some tires for the guy, awesome guy to deal with

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 06:47 PM

I know! and he gave me such a good price, these tires alone from volco will cost around $600
I got them with the wheels for $1000 before taxes!
He sprayed my hub and gave me spacers for free :)

CivicTypeRice 08-06-2009 07:01 PM

Now slam that bitch!

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 07:09 PM

^totally 1" lower would look awesome

Thinking of tinting the back windows as well

Shit falling into ricer pit of doom...

Milhouse 08-06-2009 07:59 PM

Pics of your full car would be nice :D

thumper 08-06-2009 08:44 PM

i thought u were selling the car?

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 08:55 PM

yeah... just figured no one would appreciate the >$4000 put into the car in the last year and people just don't want to pay this kind of money for a car like this, Will prolly keep it for another year,

Lol about pics of the full car, My camera phone took those pics so you can't really see the wheels when its the full car, i guess it automatically adjusts cos the car is white and the wheels are black so it'll set it so that the black doesnt really show

Heres one i took while parked outside lordco you can't really see the wheels, I'll take my 40D or the G7 and take a few pics someday but for now...

Heres a shot of the rear wheels I'm thinking of maybe a 2" spacer for the back :D

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 09:01 PM

The front offset is fine, but the back is horrible

Anyone got >30mm up to 2" spacers sitting around for a nissan?

asian_XL 08-06-2009 09:09 PM

are you now going to sell your car for $8,000 firm? :)

koukimonst3r 08-06-2009 09:26 PM

:haha: lol I would if i could... but i can't :(

HIV+ are you using the teardrops?

looking at the PDM website right now
But they only carry up to 25mm, which is better but i'm looking for closer to 35 or 40

Although 25 would probably be less rice...

koukimonst3r 08-06-2009 09:59 PM

yup, saving up for a coil set right now :S
I wanna lower it so bad

and yeah I guess 25 isn't bad

shenmecar 08-06-2009 10:02 PM

hmmm, i dont suppose they do alignment too?

ilvtofu 08-06-2009 10:16 PM

If i order a 50mm off ebay it'll be just over $100 for a set shipped to the states
30mm for around the same price

Either way cheaper than the H&Rs 25mm for $200 so i dunno, the brand really that important?

Y'all will be laughing at me when my wheel falls off...

chris_89T 08-06-2009 11:47 PM

Honestly man, running that big of a spacer is risky at best. I would ONLY use a quality spacer. Remember, if it fails, thats the only thing holding your wheels to your hub.

Think about it, your spending 200$ on spacers for the rear.

You could have spent that extra 200$ on rims that fit better. Im going to take a guess and estimate that those are 17x7 +45 offset judging by how the tire fits on the rim and how far they sit in.

Dont take it the wrong way, im not trying to be a dick, i did the same thing with you with my OZ's. With my new car, i decided to just pay up and get rims that fit properly. Cost more than i would have ever thought about spending on wheels but they fit good so its a trade off.

Anyways, i would only recommend a quality spacer. See if Project Kics sell any 35mm spacers. Measure them first, dont just guess, because if your out 10mm, it will either look stupid and stick out too far, or still tuck which looks just as bad on certain cars.

Again, dont take it the wrong way, it looks good, black rims look sick on white cars!

EDIT- Here you go. Project Kics make good quality spacer! 30mm might not be enough, but measure it up. Id say for your car in the back to get flush with a 7" rim, youd need about a 10mm offset, so the 30mm might be alright. Nissans use a M12x1.25 stud.

PDM Racing?

Yes they do alignments

Supafly 08-07-2009 07:58 AM

for something that wide, 20+mm....i would not get a spacer as it will induce a lot of stress on to your bolts or lug nuts....spend the extra amount of money and purchase adapters as they bolt on your hub and then your rims bolt onto your adapter. much safer and much less stress for you and your parts in the longrun.

Thanks for the advice:thumbsup:, but these rims costed like $100 each :haha:
Didn't want to put such expensive rims on an old POS

but kics sounds good for $150 :) but i might as well pay an extra 50 to get H&R from PDM locally, both are pretty trustworthy eh?

Lol the tires alone cost about 600 everywhere else, so a grand for everything = good deal? and even better now that i can recommend a RS sponsor

The specs of the wheel are 17x7.5" and offset of 38
The max i'm actually allowed to put on would be a 37mm XD!

So i think the 25mm would look good :)
Is 25mm H&R spacer fine you guys think?

ilvtofu 08-07-2009 09:25 AM

Anywhere that specializes in Z31/Z32 besides like z toon or w/e its called kekekeke i heard they aren't so great

PDM has this spoiler which would probably look good in black on my car :D
except its for an S13, u guys think it'd fit?

DOWNFARCE!!! It's $340CAD btw

koukimonst3r 08-07-2009 09:33 AM

Don't put a spoiler on yours, I think it looks better without it imo.

PDM does everything I believe, from engine swaps to changing brake lines.

ilvtofu 08-07-2009 09:40 AM

^ i guess... I was thinking of a smaller one than that prolly, Keep the panda colour theme going :haha:

lol swap in an RB26!!! how much???
The car would probably twist and fall apart, so would the transmission which is pretty weak right now

koukimonst3r 08-07-2009 09:53 AM

Haha at least your exhaust and rims match now :D
