Not recently. 3 months back maybe?

I have been to Bale a couple times, never been blown away by the bread.
To me, the bread its what makes it.

My grandma made do chua, the daikon/carrot pickles, I grew up on that stuff.
I like that it's a good ratio at Tung Hing, so maybe it's the taste of nostalgia giving me a biased judgement.

gonna pick one up @ tung hing today after my final exam

thinking of shoving it in the micro oven to heat up the bread... or should i just eat it cold?

I think it taste much better when you heat up the bread in the oven. I find the meat has more flavor when it's warm(er); possibly from the juices.

always take the pickled veggies / cucumber out when your reheating lol

It's not "cold" when you get it. The bread will be room temp at worst and the meat warm.
If you're lucky. The bread will still be fresh.

Don't wait until you get home.
Wolf it down on the spot. By the time I step foot out the door, it's already out of the bag and on it's way to my mouth. I'm just a tad impatient.

Went to Tung Hing for a viet sub for lunch today.

I didn't notice its $3.50 for the House special sub now. Its been a while, last time I went there it was only $3. Still tasted great as always. Much better than the ones at T&T.

Liquid_o2 08-26-2016 09:49 AM

Had Banh Mi Saigon a few weeks ago. Was really good, I would say that the flavors are more balanced than Tung Hing. But it has been a while since I have had Tung Hing. Need to have a side by side comparison.

wingies 08-26-2016 02:17 PM

Oh man I just googled the prices for Au Petit, $5.50 for a house special sub? Damm thats balling!

smoothie. 08-26-2016 02:40 PM

I've paid $12 for one from Bel Cafe..

the Au Petit is worth it, I prefer the chicken sub.

!Aznboi128 08-26-2016 03:07 PM

Actually Tung Hing bakery is pretty good too on kingsway

DragonChi 08-26-2016 05:39 PM
