tonyvu 08-12-2009 05:18 PM

they had an airshow over at central park the other day. Those jet fighters are loud holly crap, sitting in my room and they just roar over my music O_o

Solo_D33A 08-12-2009 05:31 PM

I remember the Concorde taking off being just as loud... Why can't they bring the Concorde in just for ceremonies...? I wonder if they'll do that with London's Olympic.....

zulutango 08-12-2009 07:39 PM

I wanna see the F 86. Send it over here please and let it land.

Durrann1984 08-12-2009 08:08 PM

asian_speedster 08-12-2009 08:21 PM

^ that would be epic, over Detroit I think?

Had a couple of passes over bby a few days ago, looked more like snow birds though, not CF-18s. Crazy loud!

monkeywrench 08-12-2009 08:25 PM

WOOOOO HORNETS

Chopstick 08-12-2009 08:39 PM

man... if i was piloting a f18, i'd fly low to avoid radar, then fly straight into aberdeen mall going max supersonic in one end, and fly out the other, blowing up that stupid reserved space on lvl 2 thats always empty and scaring the slow shit from all the c lais there (^__^)...

no_mercy 08-12-2009 11:42 PM

250kts below 10000ft unless authorized by ATC... it's been a while since i've looked at air laws but no, flying at that speed would not be able to shatter your windows

Black Pearl 08-13-2009 12:16 AM

i heard a LOUD jet noise around 10:15am the other day, woke me up and scared the shit out of me, sounded like an airliner was about to crash or something, by the time i got a look outside from upstairs i saw and heard nothing... must have been these guys...

if theyre starting as early as 6am, they should do this shit in the evening, its wayyy too early in the morning.

JSALES 08-13-2009 01:16 AM

i saw a bunch of them flying together over central park. scared the shit outta me cause i was sleeping and thought how fucking low is this plane flying, thought it was gonnna crash in my house or someshit haha

Ulic Qel-Droma 08-13-2009 01:34 AM

i live right by the airport lol i hear these guys everyday!

i cant believe some of you have never heard fighter jets, or gone to an airshow. they're the loudest thing you'll hear in your life guarenteed.

Try doing something on the flight deck and hearing these guys take off and land every 30 mins.

This is all that happened at Cold Lake. After the first like 3 goes, it gets boring and no one pays attention anymore.

The F86 Sabre?

There's very very few left around.

jimzilla 08-13-2009 10:45 AM

Its cool hearing and seeing the fighter jet fly by a couple time. But when you constantly fucking hear them (like when i was posted at Cold Lake) it really grinds your gears

ATTENTION REVSCENE!

As you may have seen, these fighter jets have been out and about recently, flying all over the GVA.

You may think that these fighter jets are doing practice runs for the olympics, or an air show. However, you are all wrong.

If you watched the news or follow up with astronomy, you'll know that there has been a meteor shower going on recently. I'd like to inform you all that we are all in grave danger from this seemingly harmless meteor shower, as the meteors are large enough to actually hit the ground and cause catastrophic damage.

The jet fighters you see flying around the GVA have been commissioned by our province in an effort to protect us by blasting the meteors into smaller pieces so they can fully burn up before they hit the ground.

Emergency crews have received a large volume of emergency phone calls regarding the recent string of meteor impacts. Although I cannot comment on the amount of damage landed meteors have caused, I'd like everyone to know that we're doing the best we can to protect our citizens.
Were you driving on the road recently and heard something that sounded like a random rock hitting your car? That's not rocks being flung out of tires from other peoples cars, that's the sound of blasted meteor debris sprinkling on your car. The canadian air force has been blasting these meteors at high altitude for almost a week now.

(This picture isn't an actual picture of the f18's we're using. It's a picture to give you an idea of what it looks like when it fires missiles)

(Here's a picture of astroids. They're called astroids when they're in space, but when they start falling down on the earth they're called meteor's. The ones that hit the ground and remain intact are called meteorites. These enormously large boulders of space rock are falling down all over north-west america right now. If you see one heading towards you, turn around and run for cover)

If anyone watched the news recently, officials have advised that everyone stay indoors if possible.

i wish i can be as creative as you.

lvl2 reserved space? you mean the gated fenced area? That's for the Aberdeen residence, it's not full because the residence is not full...

It's fun though seeing c lais following residences in and no way to get out unless someone from residence opens the gate. :haha:

That F18 just dropped a flare. It's not firing missiles. :p
