I prefer aircraft unloading offensive weapons, rather than defensive. For example:

these babies are CF-18s. They look similar to F/A-18s, but they DO have their differences.

I was doing summer training at CFB-Comox one year, and had the opportunity to see 3 of these guys take off and land in formation... It's amazing when you are standing on the apron while these guys punch it down the runway

ATTENTION REVSCENE!

As you may have seen, these fighter jets have been out and about recently, flying all over the GVA.

You may think that these fighter jets are doing practice runs for the olympics, or an air show. However, you are all wrong.

If you watched the news or follow up with astronomy, you'll know that there has been a meteor shower going on recently. I'd like to inform you all that we are all in grave danger from this seemingly harmless meteor shower, as the meteors are large enough to actually hit the ground and cause catastrophic damage.

The jet fighters you see flying around the GVA have been commissioned by our province in an effort to protect us by blasting the meteors into smaller pieces so they can fully burn up before they hit the ground.

Were you driving on the road recently and heard something that sounded like a random rock hitting your car? That's not rocks being flung out of tires from other peoples cars, that's the sound of blasted meteor debris sprinkling on your car. The canadian air force has been blasting these meteors at high altitude for almost a week now.

(This picture isn't an actual picture of the f18's we're using. It's a picture to give you an idea of what it looks like when it fires missiles)

http://www.miniroleplay.org/quad/images/astroid-1.jpg
(Here's a picture of astroids. They're called astroids when they're in space, but when they start falling down on the earth they're called meteor's. The ones that hit the ground and remain intact are called meteorites. These enormously large boulders of space rock are falling down all over north-west america right now. If you see one heading towards you, turn around and run for cover)

If anyone watched the news recently, officials have advised that everyone stay indoors if possible.

they can go close to breaking supersonic in city limits, thats when u see the funnel cloud around the fuselage of the plane.

The window won't shatter, it was busted on mythbuster :p

I heard then saw 2 of these jets fly over richmond two weeks ago. It IS freaking loud.
