I saw it midnight at the richmond theatre. I wasn't used to the 3d at first and thought it made the film seem really tacky but it grew on me half way.

Great68 12-18-2009 08:43 AM

So Silvercity Riverport (Richmond) and Colossus Langley are the only theaters you can watch it in 3D?

That kind of sucks.

Would this movie even be worth watching in a regular theater?

I actually preferred watching it in a regular theatre. Like I said, the 3D just made it seem tacky and kinda ruins the movie.

So you watched it twice?

Oops I meant I would prefer watching it in a regular theatre.

But I guess the 3D was cool at times.

Crap now I'm indecisive.

I heard someone on the radio describe it as Dances with Wolves in space. From the trailers that seems pretty much exactly what you're getting.

LiquidTurbo 12-18-2009 02:59 PM

Going to see it in the regular 3D. The Imax 3D was all sold out already!

jtanner_ 12-18-2009 03:11 PM

Planning on watching this tomorrow... hoping to hear some more reviews first though

to0n 12-18-2009 03:25 PM

what is better imax 3d or digital 3d?

bubba_g 12-18-2009 08:09 PM

Watched it on regular 3D at Riverport, EPIC movie!!!! This is the first 3D movie I've seen where it actually works, doesn't feel artificial at all. It's so immersive and the environment is just breathtaking. I've actually enjoyed watching the CG scenes of Pandora more then the real actor ones. Go see it everyone...........one of the best movie if not the best I've seen.

James Cameron is the King of the World again ?

ASG111 12-18-2009 09:16 PM

Does anyone know why it says "NO PASSES" on the website even when I change the dates?
Does it mean EVERYTHING is sold out? thats not possible.

I just went to the silvercity and it did state NO passes for a 10 o clock show, that's understandable, but tomorrow, and sunday, still says NO passes? HOw come>?

you could, but you have to pay an additional $5 or something like that on top of your gift cert

LiquidTurbo 12-19-2009 02:02 AM

I just came back from this movie. My brain feels like it's bleeding. Complete sensory overload. Two thumbs up!

Neoxphuse 12-19-2009 02:21 PM

Saw it last night at the 3.30 showing in Langley. This movie is epic, visually. Cameron makes movie magic again, and this time it`s an experience that everyone should have. I`m sure more movies like this will come, but not for a long time. Watch this in 3D, it`s like sensory overload.

12 out of 10! just because of the pandora environment

it's not for the public. it's for the employees who work there. they don't get free passes when it's busy ie the opening weekend of big movies

ScizzMoney 12-20-2009 12:18 AM

I went into the theatre expecting not to like it, I thought the movie looked kind of stupid. After watching it, I really really like it. One of my favorite movies now.

Tegra_Devil 12-20-2009 10:37 AM

going tonight 3D in langley...i have super high expectations now for it reading all these reviews....i hope im not disappointed..

Jsunu 12-20-2009 10:56 AM

movie of the year for me, this was the first movie that WORKS for 3d and not just a stupid gimmick. Might try to catch it again on imax when it dies down.

Tegra_Devil 12-20-2009 09:24 PM

Wow.......simply breath taking.....a beautiful masterpiece if i might say so
