People with any class whatsoever would not buy their garbage, thus the reason for them having entirely different cars in Europe. :D

That is why Ford of Europe is one of the top automakers in the EU?

Oh and I rather have a "shit product" Camaro over a M3

Wow didn't believe the price of the S4 when i first saw it, comes pretty loaded base, I take back what i said about audi's pricing not being competitive on the "60 secs to say something to audi thread"

European Fords are so awesome compared to the compact garbage here in North America.
But honestly, if Peugeot sold all their models in North America, it would not only kill all American-made sport economy cars, it'd put a SERIOUS dent in Honda/Toyota compact sports - imagine the handling of a Civic/Integra with BMW interior fit and finish. I have a friend in Vancouver with a C5 Corvette and the fit/finish is shit compared to a Peugeot sport compact.

Meowjin 08-29-2009 04:50 PM

...did you just call peugeot awesome cars?

SHO is for a niche group anyways.. Much like the GT500 people.. there are always a few people who want to buy it... hopefully for Ford's sake the people are still around after they pissed them off with the flaw the Yamaha engine had the last time.

Taurus has saved Ford a few times.

With all the talk on this thread.. I am sure Ford marketing is doing something right.

nooooo AUDI lost

:(

civic_rice 09-16-2009 03:06 PM

i like it. i work at metro ford and think it is actually a decent car. cant justify 53k but the sho is top notch. i like the new fusion awd more. i think it has more of a lexus look to it.

Blinky 09-16-2009 04:18 PM

Is it supposed to be pronounced Taurus SHOW?

I always thought it was ... Taurus Ess-Ach-Oh.

BTW, to the people comparing the Taurus to the S4 -- they're different classes of car, so shouldn't be directly compared.

Timpo 09-16-2009 04:33 PM

that's not powered by Yamaha anymore

godwin 09-16-2009 04:41 PM

Considering how badly they botched the last engine, it is a good thing.

Yamaha only designed the heads on the V8 engine, the block was a Ford and the camshafts (the part that failed) were of Ford design. Yamaha had nothing to do with it.

cococly 09-16-2009 10:08 PM

I like this Ford :)

I would consider this when I am 20 years older

Johnrb 09-16-2009 11:19 PM

this car is waaay too cookie cutter for my tastes
for 53 grand they could at least differentiate it from a normal taurus.. give it the svt treatment and pimp it out a bit

It does make a great sleeper though
kind of like an old m5 without the sexiness and appeal
