Got our first Taurus SHO today! And I LIKE IT. Very slick. Quality, fit and finish is the best I've seen on a Ford car, ever. This one is pre-sold and I can't drive it on the highway, but I've driven it around the lot and it's very nice. I like it better than the MKS, for sure. I'm not 100% sure on the red, but it'll look awesome in dark blue or grey or black. http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor2/taurus%20001.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor2/taurus%20002.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor2/taurus%20014.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor2/taurus%20015.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor2/taurus%20006.jpg What it's missing would be the appearance package (to get rid of the black plastic trim on the bottom) and some HUGE red calipers, and some WIIIIIIIIDE rims to finish it off. |
Those plastic bumpers around the license plate, look like the out of place ones on my dad's 993! Not the most attractive car from the back but overall looks decent, DId you joyride it already? |
Yeah the appearance package deletes the black plastic - but then you have to get the wood trim and smaller wheels. No I have not driven on the road yet - I'll have to wait until our next one comes out. |
what's the retail of one of those? Don't give me that cheesy line.....even tho they both start with an F. |
the steering wheel doesn't look good. |

The SHO starts at $48,000 or about $53,000 loaded w/ options and destination & delivery. Cheaper than a Lincoln MKS and has more power, with all the same options and features available. |

SHO compares more closely to a 5-series, but at a much lower price point. |
still FWD, or is it AWD? |
At that price point... an evo would be more appealing i guess this is meant for the old cushy crowd. |
what an appaling waste of $53000 as C/D said, this is aimed for the nostalgic SHO owners |
It's AWD. It's definately not comparable to an EVO or STi or M3 or any other rally or sports type car. |
i havent liked american cars for a long time but they've gone from bad to not so bad in the last 5 years imo. ive been on a lot of business trips where hertz has always tried to force us to rent taurus' and i hated them! this one looks pretty good. |
id have a 528i over it anyday |
it still look very american...look at that hideous shifter. I also think 53000 is bit too much |
Whats the employee pricing on one of these? |

considering this a similiarly spec'd 5 series/e class would probably run 80 grand this is a bargain. you are dumb. |
i just looked at the other responses. Revscene makes my head hurt. |
Failed marketing. If they wanted to upscale this car to that price range, they shouldn't reuse the Taurus name. I don't doubt that the vehicle itself is a nice car; however, back then it was competing with midsize Camry and Accord and now it's competing with fullsize cars under the same name? They should just reuse the name "Five Hundred". |
^ Well, the Taurus is a very recognizable name in the American car market. It was a revolutionary car backed then when it was introduced. I'm sure a LOT of the average joe recognizes the name "Taurus" and in their mind, think it's a good family sedan. |

putting a V8 and some luxury seats in a Pontiac Aztec, doesn't mean people will buy it or should be worth that much. If you like to compare spec and price, then you should buy a korean or chinese cars. |
Ford has been good in my books for a couple years now. I'm anticipating the new Fiesta, Raptor, and Focus. I wish they would bring the RS over. :/ |

3.5L twin turbo v6, 365hp/350lbs-ft torque... any chance of this ecoboost engine replacing the base v6 that they saddled the base mustang with? |
