^ I on the other hand loved living downtown when I was on Nelson and Burrard.. after each party, 9 out of 10 times I just tell girls to have antoher drink and point at my apartment and it's an instant close. On the other hand, living on Jarvis and Davie, i got my ass grabbed so many times not knowing Pump Jacks wasn't a place I wanna just play pool with buddies LOL. Did also help when both of my jobs were in Yaletown, walking to work was just great despite some rainy seasons. |

Live in Coal Harbour, it's like a vertical suburb. It's dead after 7pm. |
The stripper place? Yeah ive been inside a few times but i recall it was quite scummy. Weird theres no strippers in richmond |
I had so much fun at Cecil back in 2003. Then I dated someone who worked there on stage and it was epic. 2009 ish, I think it was ben afflack was caught being at brandi's. Then during 2012 era, still had many from Calgary who was here who loved but cecil was at its end and they rebuilt. Quote:
Then you got the famous Osaka supermarket / Presidential Hotel plaza who ran am illegal entertainment "service" and was sued. Lawyer was a school friend and I remember one of the quoted defense was "city will be losing a lot of jobs opps" LOL. |
^ Did you watch movies nobody has ever heard of with the Cecil girl all night? :lol |
Looks we got a regular T-pain here |
The hottest stripper I’ve ever seen was at the Cecil during the Olympics. She finger blasted herself until she came during a private dance. Took her a couple of songs to get off and I only paid for one. Good times! |
lol I miss the old strip club days. I went with a few friends to no. 5 one night and a buddy wanted to get a bag. Asked the first stripper he saw and she smacked him in the face and was like “you think just cause I’m a stripper I know where to get coke?” He asked a second one and came back with an 8 ball hahahaha. |
I remember going to Lumber Land in Richmond with my parents on the weekends. Beyond Lumber Land, there was really nothing. I also remember going with my dad to check out a farm with a meat shop, I believe on No. 3 and Bridgeport. The owner was selling it for cheap and from what I recall the rent would have covered the cost of the mortgage, but at that time there was nothing in Richmond and my dad felt like Richmond would never expand. Biggest L ever. |
Vancouver History Speaking of Richmond, did anyone go karaoke in Richmond back in the day? -went with friends and sometimes co workers for karaoke at Zodiac. Good selection of songs for their karaoke system. The booze for the group packages for room bookings sucked though. Coors Light?? LUL Urban legend about a corpse at Zodiac karaoke is based on an actual shooting at this karaoke place: -the story likely stems from a real-life shooting in 1995 at the Zodiac Karaoke & Pub in Richmond, BC, which is often discussed in Reddit's true crime communities. The incident involved the following details: The Shooting: On August 24, 1995, a man named Ranj Cheema was at the Zodiac Karaoke Bar when he was lured to the parking lot and shot five times at point-blank range. Survival: Despite severe injuries to his abdomen, Cheema managed to stumble back into the bar. He survived the attack after being in a coma for six weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Guys I went to high school (McNair) with Bindy Johal! AMA! I actually didn't ever see him at school (he was 5 years older than me yet showed up on the school roll) but his associates were in some of my classes. I was also at McNair when there was a machete attack - a few EI guys had a beef over a girl and they showed up at our smoke pit looking to settle the score. Next thing you know our school is in the news (I tried Googling for anything on it but nothing shows up). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bindy_Johal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranjit_Cheema |
