Its about 5 store units south of the southeast corner of Main/25th Avenue. The picture of the store is on the first post I put up on the previous page and I can see that the address is 4136 (on Main St). To add to this, I went again today and saw on the menu that they DELIVER.

Fuck. If they delivered overseas I'd marry their daughters.

EDIT: The father of the establishment clearly remembered me and realized that it was the 3rd time I had been here in 5 days, each time with different people. I have been upgraded as he today for the first time called me "my brother" as he seated me instead of the usual "my friend."

LOL they upgraded u already
DAMN DUDE!

:haha::haha:

feelthesunrise 09-10-2009 09:31 AM

i went yesterday too. ordered the special and thought the soup was very bland. i won't be checking back in there any time soon.

Expresso 09-10-2009 09:59 AM

haha I think this is reinforcing my idea that the best pho is very subjective!

Yeah, in general, their portions are quite small from what I remember... for their vermicelli, whereas most places come in a big bowl, they serve it on a plate... so obviously there's a lot less food.

They have a coupon in the Entertainment Book though... so don't forget to bring that and a friend.

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-10-2009 10:56 AM

fuck just got back from it.

hmmmm

soup was blend, has a special chinese medicine taste to it (in a good way) :thumbsup:overall it very blend as someone mentioned

noodle portion was on the small side and i order their large special

had their salad roll, it was really good. different kind of penis...i mean penaut sauce. very smooth and creamy ;)

the place was small, but well decorated and clean ( for a Pho restaurant)

prices were cheap $6.40 i think for large

will i go back again? no

6.5/10 for me

i will stick with my PHO VINH

Ouch.

I'm going to try this place tonight.

bcedhk 09-10-2009 11:25 AM

i went to this place call Pho 101, is down on hastings, 3 blocks away from sfu uphill.

the place is a bit expensive, i think it was 6.45 for a small, but is a good portion for normal people, not for those who are super hungry and expect a cheap eat.

they have there special noodles in which the raw beef is in its own plate. The noodles tasted good, and the rest of the soup/meat taste good too. Even the bean sprouts and basil leaves were very fresh, and crisp.

Decor is not something to be excited about, but oh well is pho.

i'd recommend it, i think it just opened a few months ago.

Grandmaster TSE 09-10-2009 11:47 AM

anyone been to this place on garden city close to no 3 called nooch?

i love it there, its nice and clean way of making pho and it tastes great

Oh wow! I had thought their broth was excellent as it didn't have a strong MSG/Salt punch!
Everyone must have their own subjective tastes though; I shall try out Pho Vinh soon!

bcrdukes 09-10-2009 01:38 PM

Personally, I'll digress. Pho is not subjective. There are certain elements that make pho "good" and "bad" as there are different styles of pho (North vs. South.)

I'm going to have dinner here tonight at around 6 or 6:30. Anybody who is interested can join me there. I will post a review upon this place later on.

feelthesunrise 09-10-2009 01:39 PM

not having a strong MSG or salt punch is good but that doesn't mean we don't want our broth to be seasoned well. :p

here you go. you should see it pretty easily, cause their sign is bright red.

I only ate their once, and that was 2 weeks ago. I will give it a try again to see if their standard remains the same :D
