My new favorite Pho restaurant in the 604. To make it short, I found a new Pho place I'd never been to that absolutely wow'd me. I honestly give this Pho place 9/10, and literally found nothing wrong. I'd seriously urge all of you to go try it out. The broth is literally on par with that of Pho Tam out in Surrey, and their spring rolls were just as good as Bao Chau on Hastings. The broth wasn't salty and very mild while at the same time punching great flavor. I really don't know how else to quantify this place, but I'd really recommend any other Pho enthusiasts on here to give it a try and share your opinion. Aside from flavor, the prices were damned cheap - $6.59 for a large, $1.49 for an iced coffee. The service was also impressive as they address you as "my friends" when you come in. The place is called "Vietnamese Restaurant" and its located several stores down from the southeast corner of Main/25th. http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho.jpg http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho1.jpg http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho2.jpg http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho3.jpg http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho4.jpg http://dafoozeking.googlepages.com/Pho5.jpg |
I thought Pho Tam was the best place I've been too. I gotta check this place out. Thanks :D |
Thick noodles. I like. Must try and report back! :) Thanks achiam! |
i always pass by this place when i study at the Grind, but never been in there before..must check it out next time |
They use to be on Cambie and King Ed. The guy there is real friendly.."hello my friend!" |
Yeah totally. Its also really clean. Prior to this Pho restaurant, the best Pho I've ever had was in Paris, France - this place is damned close I kid you not. |
If you couldn't find anything wrong why just 9/10? lol as long as it's better than that shitty one in kerrisdale It's good enough for me :D |

I have to say i've never tried pho before. I guess you can say I'm kinda unsure about trying it I dunno. |
Pho Duy is pretty good. |
yep this place is pretty good but parking sucks there. he said a cool guy along with his wife. I used to go there back in highschool and he would seat us by the tv ,give us the remote and then whatever we ordered he would offer extra noodles or rice:) |

To get to it, you need to go to the Chinatown in Paris. Take the orange 7 metro line to Tolbiac, which is at the bottom right area of Zone 1. When you get out of Tolbiac station you'll be at an intersection with a Mcdonalds on one corner, and a pharmacy on the other side of the street. Walk on Rue de Tolbiac (the smaller road, not big road) going past the pharmacy until you hit the next road, Rue de Choisy. Turn right here, and walk about 100 meters down, and the restaurant is on the left. On the other direction on Rue de Choisy, you'll see another Pho place that isn't as good as Indochine but is open super early like 8AM everyday; its mediocre in comparison but blows away most Pho in Vancouver. At Indochine I stuck with the large Pho Dac Biet, which is about 8 Euros i think. Take photos and thank me later!!!! BTW; I'm actually in Paris for a weekend in October, I wouldn't mind meeting up with another Vancouverite for Pho! |
