You all need to search out more than one source ,because you can bet there is even more than two versions.
I'm pretty sure despite all that, RS members in all it's wisdom can still find a way to claim improper procedure or claim they could have acted better.

Some neighbours said the police urged the man to drop his knife. Then they heard four or five shots.

The version NNS quotes also says 4 or 5 shots .I don't think an Officer shooting off twice is uncalled for ,especially since he wasn't phased by the taser.

I read this on CBC news. Apparently, their child was in the home when this episode ensued.

Yup.personally if I was the cop I would shoot a bullit off the toaster, off the tv, off the wall and into his chest.

But good on the cops, if this dude was crazy to threaten a cop with a knife then I don't want him roaming our society

well said here. With the limited information we have from the article, i have no problem with the action taken.

There you go, this morning it comes out he was holding a knife to the throat of his wife... he also sounds like a real prize of a human

Officers are trained to kill. Not wound.
