being the owner of a MKV...all I can say is:
VW made no little effort to make this different from MKV haha..imma get flamed but...
the interior has so little difference...the deck + steering wheel are all thats pretty much different...exterior just looks like a heavy facelift :/

and has anyone noticed...front = scirocco...rear = touareg?

not digging the front grille either...
vw gti has always been simplicity (i guess they gave that up with DSG but i digress) this seems a little too audi to me

I agree with the person above in hating these particular wheels though.......
i'll have to edit my post into Golf/jetta interior rather than VW's in general, i think the cab's and passats have a decent interior. But tt just seems very dated and have such a boring design compared to the exterior and rest of the car, especially the dash/trim design. . Im sure its quality craftsmanship but for me, the look of it is a downside to an otherwise great looking car.

ok i wasnt being that extreme. HAHA i knew someone was goin to post this here's perhaps a better example:

2009 gti:

vs

2009 civic:

2009 genesis:

2009 mazda 3:

hell, even an american car has a nicer looking interior
2009 mustang:

im sure the build quality can possibly be better than some of those others, but can you honestly say the gti's interior doesnt look a bit dated compared to the other 4?

regardless, a tdi golf is still in consideration as one of my next cars to get.

Considering the MKV was such a vast improvment from the MKIV, you can't really expect that much more from the 6. The mkv had gotten great reviews evreywhere - why mess with something that works?

have you seen the video of the creative designer of VW when he commented on why they used same platform/engine/transmisson for the mkvi? it was hella funny but not on youtube anymore but he pretty much says..

"we think its pretty good...why do we need a new one?"
i laughed my balls off...creative designer for such a big company makes such a comment lol

yes

MK6 looks much better in person, it makes MK5 looks outdated

cars are sitting on the docks in atlantic canada... and will start to show up at dealerships in the coming weeks...

and it didn't "win world car of the year" just because... the interior of these cars are solid and really can't be matched by many other brands... the feel of all the finishings are very solid comared to the plasicky cheap feeling of say a honda...

TSI is a solid motor as well... fixed MOST of the problems with the FSI... and even better... the OEM fuel pump can handle a stage 3 setup!

Not the case, just exterior styling. You can make your mk5 golf front end look like a mk6 with rad support headlights rebar, fenders and hood.
