this happened to me once, I waited after I parked my car and found out who was writing them. I put a note on her car later when I found out which one was hers asking her for her badge number... lol. but yeah, you won't get towed unless you already get a ticket from the city saying u cant park there

It looks like the area between Garden City and St. Alban's. Off of Blundell.

it's probably just from the person who lives int he house where the spot is infront of.
i know, i get pissed when people park in my "area" ie. the area directly infront of my house.
i have 4 cars so i need my "space"
maybe the notes just wants you not to park there. i doubt you'll get towed though.
just park infront of ur girls house and that will be that

I laugh at people who think since it's in front on there house you can't park there. First come first serve bitch. Face the fact's all of are tax's pay for the roads so we have the right to park where we won't if there's no actual reason not too

You can't park there legally. It's in the driving manual. You can also get towed if the ticket person shows up and gives you a ticket.

that street is always packed anyways, so I won't be surprised if a homeowner is trying to save a spot for him/herself (although I find that very very selfish)
But I think it might also be because that spot is too close to the driveway entrance/exit, so it poses as a safety hazard for anyone who uses that road. So it might be someone just looking out for their neighbors and giving you a friendly warning as well.
BTW all those who were guessing the location you are wrong
this is No.4 and Kilby.

3. If there is a driveway in front of the Yaris, it's pretty obvious cars shouldn't be parking in the small gap between the two parallel driveways. As a result, they didn't paint the curb yellow. It's self-explanatory.
As a result, no, you shouldn't be parking there. You are obstructing the view of the people exiting the driveway behind the Yaris at the very least. The Yaris, in spite of the fact it's a small car, should also not be parking there.
An annoyed homeowner can call a city bylaw officer who will come over and give you a ticket. I guess they felt a note is adequate warning. Not worth getting into a pissing match over IMO.

then why not be more specific in the note?
"don't park here" sounds like a douche who's trying to save the spot for himself vs someone who is simply asking that they don't park there so as not to obstruct the view of anyone exiting the driveway
not ruling the latter out entirely, but fuck I hate people who can't be specific enough (if the latter reason was what the note is referring to)

some idiot park like 1 feet away from our driveway, and coming out was super dangerous cuz u cant see if there is any car coming

it's common courtesy. everyone deserves to have parking in front of their house.
why is that so laughable. i agree we all pay taxes.. but then what if i pay more taxes then you? i don't think paying taxes is an issue at all.
it just comes down to common courtesy like i mentioned early. i bet that guy has people parking in front of his house everyday since it's close to a complex and he has to park his other car a block away?

Did You Know?
Vehicles must be parked at least 20 feet from an intersection to ensure visibility.
To provide safe access to and from properties, parking must be set back 10 feet from either side of a driveway.
quickly looked up, by the above statement i guess anytime u park near someone's driveway it needs to be 10 feet away from it from either side ? and if not i guess i report it to the city and hopefully they come and write them a ticket if not tow?

Thanks for the input guys!
I guess I can come to the conclusion that the spot is too close to the driveway of both houses, and not because it is facing directly at the driveway of another complex.
However, there are numerous spots around the same length on the street where I've parked and other people have parked and never had a problem with it. I try to park in front of my g/f's house, but sometimes that spot is taken by the house next to it (also the same size as the spot shown in the picture, btw).
The Yaris doesn't belong to the house adjacent to the spots and normally the spot is taken by random cars along the street, so it's not the owners of the houses who want to save the spot.

i live in a block where the average house has like 3 cars parked out and around, needless to say, in our neighbourhood "parking in front of your house" is a luxury, not a right.

I dont know if everyone "deserves" a spot in front of their place. When you bought your property you didnt buy the spot in front of your place as well. And people should be able to park in a free spot on the street without much trouble.
Its hard to argue "Courtesy" if the people who park in "your spot" dont know that its "your spot" and have no way of knowing that they are infringing on you.
For me what this comes down to is trying to be a good neighbor. If you can park in front of your house, great. If not I dont think its the end of the world and nothing to get into a fight about.
