awsome bar lag

I don't know if its just me, but when i click on New Posts and I get the Canada credit free red Awesome Bar ad.. it lags like CRAZY and I can barely click anything.... Anyone else have this problem? is there a way around it?

what happened to the nice balance of ads vs performance we had before?

i dont get it, i dont get any lag at all, if anything its 1/2 a second slower load than the rest of RS

what OS are you running?

what browser are u running?

what browser settings?

hmm, im on win7 and ie8 and the only issue i have is actually with ie8 itself where some tabs open but wont load any pages.

it takes at least 5-10 seconds if i want to right click and open in new tab
or if i want the page to load in the same tab

newest firefox.. i dont know what version...

but when i open it, and that canadian free credit thing pops up, it lags ALL my tabs/windows REALLY badly.. i will right click, and it will take at least 15 seconds to respond, etc etc....

I mentioned this a while ago when I first started seeing the ad. I run Windows XP Pro with Firefox 3.5.3, and in the instance I get TWO of that ad on the same screen, I get fucked up badly...

Its not about the 2 ad's thing.. for me, its that ad specifically... i mean, the toyota thingys are okay... but the one with all red, with some kinda free credit check or something.. with the white lines on the background.. that one fucks me up BAD.

looks like its the ad itself, and not the OS or browser..

If they are google ads , theres a way to block specific ads. something about blocking competing ads - u can block it by url.

By the way, always make sure your flash player is up to date. It is probably what is causing the performance issues, and is also very unsecure.

hmm, maybe thats why, i had to redo my system so thus almost every addon is uptodate now.

i get no lagg loading the ads at all =/ and its not like im running a crazy system either, old school dual core 3.0G w/ 4G ram. loads fine.

It usually takes a couple hours to block. I can't see the ad myself, so I can't test it.

The problem is almost certainly software-related, but since so many people are having it, we can block it for them.

still getting the ad in the awesomebar guys..

i downloaded flash 10 0- and it has no effect.

what other updates do i need??

Yea.. im using a new laptop that I bought and I still get the lag, but its SLIGHTLY better if i scroll down and cant see the ad.... but almost 100% of the time, i get it on the awsomebar when i go to "new posts" :P DO NOT WANT FREE CREDIT SCORE. lol

It should be blocked within a couple hours.
