had a friend line up for heineken house from 630 and got in at 830, he said it was a real party in there.
we ended up going DT though, it's a true olympic spirit in DT, robson pavillion light show at 11pm was alright with fireworks and music etc for 15 minutes.
HHH was pretty crazy tonight. I love the request a song thing they had going.
And for the person that wanted to watch tmr's hockey game, from what I remember there were no tvs or screens to watch it on.
EDIT: Has anyone driven their own personal car up to Whistler since the Olympics started? Is the S2S closed to those without permits? Or is there a specific time of closure. And up at Whistler is there parking available? And if so how much?
I just found out that without a permit is good before 6am and after 6pm.
Off-peak hours travel (before 6 am and after 6pm) will not require a permit.
But as for parking, it seems like its going to be very difficult to find. Does anyone know of anywhere to park legit or own a house/condo up there with parking I could borrow for a day? When it says Creekside parking under the restrictions, does that mean you can or cannot park there.

2. Where can I park in Whistler during the Games?
Parking is extremely limited during the Games. Please read the restriction details below. Public transit is the best way to get around Whistler during the Games.
The municipality encourages all drivers to make plans for where they will park during the month of February, 2010.
Street Parking restrictions:
* No parking on the odd side anytime
* No parking on the even side between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
* No parking on transit routes either side
* Whistler Creekside Parking
Phased-in Creekside parkade closures:
* Jan 1 - Apr 21: No access to surface level (Loading dock will still be open)
* Jan 11 - Apr 5: No access to 100 spaces of P2
* Feb 1 - Mar 21: no access to rest of P2, P3, P4
Additionally there will be no day skier parking lot availability and extremely limited parking throughout Whistler. Those drivers that do not have confirmed parking (either in their own laneway or in a pre-paid commercial lot) will need to make arrangements for their vehicles during the day as no day lot parking will be available. Whistler's enhanced public transit is the best and easiest way to get around Whistler and residents are encouraged to plan ahead and know before they go.
Oh and lastly do you need snow tires to get pass the checkpoints on the S2S? I have them but my friend does not.

if you see the video of him watching a recording of his xgames crash (faceplant on the lip after a double mctwist 1260) he laughed and said "at least my hair looks good!"
