3-0 now. Good coaching goes a long way? I remember them when they first got into curling. A few chuckles, but within a year, they were taking out the top teams.

EDIT: 3-1 now. Canadian comeback in the making?

it's funny that nothing was said about the hockey game, and instead, everybody has just been giving updates/talking about curling

probably because the game was such a disappointment

I just heard about this guy, Brian McKeever. He suffers from macular degeneration, and is the first athlete to compete in both Olympic and Paralympic events. Kudos to him!

unless both the Korean and Chinese teams go down, it ain't happening. Then it's the US team left to face.

Is Curling fun and exciting to watch? I can never see any action or intensity. I still don't know how it is played. Can someone preach on the game of Curling?

Until the end of the Olympics (Feb. 28), all liquor stores in the downtown core will be shut down at 7 PM. I have no link for this, but this is what the cops told us before they shut us down last night.
I still see a few wine store open after 7pm. Get your drank on with WINE!!

I'm not a die hard or know it all curling fanatic.

But from watching the highlights during the Olympics - the curling games are pretty exciting.

Its a game based on a lot of strategy, technical merit and skill.

The game is played turn based where each team takes turns to curl a stone down the curling rink. The object of curling is to try and get as close to the center pin (the smallest circle). For each stone you get closest to the pin at the end, you'll score a point. Sometimes the game is so close its literally by the inches.

The action and intensity comes when a team set's up a shot where they steal 2 or 3 points in the last end to win the game or somehow scoring a impossible point when there are many stones blocking their way (know in curling as guards)

Just think as curling as chest on ice but with lots of emotions and crazy trick shots.

VANOC bus driver dies of heart attack while on the job
Passengers were not injured in the incident

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The last heroic actions of a VANOC bus driver this morning may have saved lives. The driver, a 62-year old man from Minnesota, was on Highway One near Brunette at about 5:00am when he had a heart attack.

He managed to steer the bus into the HOV lane before passing away. The passengers were other VANOC people heading to work - no one was hurt.
RIP
