realistically there's no point in taking a modded console online as you'll likely get banned, and then any potential resale shits out. The best idea is you pick up a RRoD or semi beat up console, fix it up and use that to mod. |
Is it safe to play most Xbox360 games offline with a modded console? or do I need to update the games on xbox live periodically and risk the chance of being banned? |

Man, that would suck if I was playing a game like NHL 10 where roster updates are important. Now I need to reconsider getting a xbox360 over a PS3 since the xbox360 has lost its distinct advantage. |
To me, putting aside exclusive titles all the XBox has over the PS3 is that it can be hacked. The PS3 wins in terms of noise output, heat, and general design and build quality. Every style of PS3 (CECHxxx) is fairly reworked and improved, where every "improvement"/fix Microsoft has done just creates different errors, ie old 360's RRoD from the GPU flexing and breaking contact, newer ones with the "improved" heatsink design end up RRoDing either from the GPU still losing contact, or even worse, from the RAM chips covered by this "improved" heatsink lifting. |
been playing live for a week now wit COD and borderlands. NO BAN YET. it might be because iam running it with a LITEon drive and using the activate iso |

estimated 600,000 to 1,000,000 bans in that last wave, pwned. |
Does anyone know anything about wave 5/6 games? I've run the newest ABGX but can't really figure out how to burn them properly. I've seen many different ways on how to do it will no success. |
What are the forums for modding my xbox? I googled it but there are so many that are outdated. I plan on getting two 360's. One for legit/online games and one of offline single player games. Can anyone recommend a forum to learn or someone to flash it for me? Looked through a couple of pages but some stuff was outdated. |

Easy question. What if I have a 360, which is not connected to the internet and I only use as offline play. I notice some games ask you to add in updates will this cause a problem if I have the drive modded? I'm basically trying to have a backup 360, which can play my games or where I can burn a copy of it and play it in my 2nd offline 360 console. I assume it will stay functional as long as I don't connect to the internet. I have a newer 360 for online play. Quote:

Of course, you can always google if there are any critical updates, and download them before modding. |
Friend is looking to get his 360 flashed PM me if you can do it. |

not sure what version your flash is, that could be a problem as well... btw, i had my 360 modded since like 3 years ago when i bought it... i played online pretty frequently and still haven't got banned yet... not sure the reason i never get banned(touch wood), maybe its because i always get my drive updated right away when a new flash comes out?... anyways, good luck to others that plays online with a modded console too |
if it's patched correctly, or passes 'stealth' check in abgx, you can play online. problem is u are taking the uploader's word if you don't check once more after the download is complete, which most ppl do not. games are at wave 11 now. from what i've read, having ur drive flashed regularly has nothing to do with being banned or not. it's how the games are patched. |
Lot 1114x FTMFL I think I have a 0225 drive. Haven't opened to check yet though |
