After 28 years of crash investigations, I would agree with the Toronto PD on this one. The Van became a massive crumple zone for the BMW and that is why it looks like it has relatively less damage. Looks like it hit the van side on.

i wonder where did they get the 200km/h figure... because some "eyewitness" said so? i hate reporters sometimes... if it were here they would first automatically say "street race!"

would the speedo on the bmw be frozen at the last speed? would it be recorded in the "black box"?

regardless, for a car to split a minivan into two it couldn't have been doing the speed limit :o
