all these pictures only captured a point in time, not the trend, or a period of time. I admit chinese gov't isn't doing the best to protect its environment, but they certaintly have been improving comparing to like 20 or 30 years ago, there are always trade off between growth and environment. we are just lucky we arent in that situtation.

BUt certain things we do have a choice, and if people do have a choice to choose between where the product is assembled than i dont mind paying more. made in japan, US, taiwan etc

1st of all everyone know's working in a China is so HARSH unless you own a business and even then...

Factories MAY be dumping in the Fraser but they are not allowed to, and if they get caught, boy they are effed!

In China, you can bribe anyone and get away with anything. I know because my uncle works in China and he bribes people all the time...

China has a lot of work to do in regards to human rights and public space.

This is the cost of progress. Every modern country has been here in history before, and China is no different.

We can only hope that like modern countries, they can clean themselves up eventually...
