I bought some from the Richmond Osaka Supermarket (which is the same company as TnT anyways...)

Wow.. what a blast from the past. It tasted great but I did notice a few things are different.
- Less oil
- Less black beans
- Less fish

the can looks like its the same size but there isnt as much inside. I remember before it was PACKED....

MFG I came home to this...
Sorry big pics, didn't bother making it smaller.
If I never post again, might have OD off of these.

Only the cans with traditional writing is the legit stuff that kills (literally :P)

I will still take the simplified chinese ones though :okay:

Bumping an old-ass thread, but I found this at Osaka Supermarket. Bought two cans to see what the hubbub is all about.

^ I only eat the Pearl River brand. I guess it is preference.

What's the final lowdown on this stuff, does it cause cancer or not?

sam0m0 10-13-2012 10:48 PM

I noticed they started selling this again a few months ago at TNT, I didn't buy any yet tho, was surprised to see it back...

Legit. I bought a can in the summer and one couple weeks ago. I pointed out the can had simplified writing (mainland version) but the cashier lady just bitched at me saying who labels with traditional chinese now? :okay:
