I've been using a torque wrench since last summer because I bought a new set of lug nuts, but before that I've never used one.

Without a torque wrench, I tend to over tighten the lug nuts...I'm sure this applies to most people. Up to you whether you want to buy one!

yeah I think I'm gunna pick it up pretty soon. Now I just gotta find myself a better floor jack to replace the current one. I'm looking ahead, and in the future I plan to have a lowered car. What jacks would you guys recommend for cars that are lowered?

i just use a basic beam torque wrench for my wheels. don't need to worry about calibration. you can get one for under $15

might pickup the mastercraft maximum torque wrench though

heard good things about the torin low profile ones. i believe they sell them at walmart for ~50-60 bucks.

there's better ones out there but they'll cost you 100+

or just use ramps/2x4

for $50-60 it might be worth it. Most jacks I see are over $100 anyways.

I'm going to need a new low profile jack too. even with my car on 2x4's in the front, my jack still hits the bottom of my front lip.
Whats a good place to find this Torin jack in vancouver?

Oh snap. looks like 2cm or so on the ground now. I'm near UBC.

Time to revive this thread.

Weather report says "Light Rain" for today. Hope this is true.
