"Clean & Detail" standard with service at SC. Don't forget 5YR frame warranty may be void when serviced elsewhere!

Is there any truth to this? How would a frame warranty be void if your drivetrain needs servicing? Or is this some kind of misinterpreted scare tactic to ensure repeat business?

Seeing that most of us work on our bikes (whenever possible) does this mean our warranties are void? :lol

(I smell baloney.)

Went for a 70k ride yesterday after work. Had a small snack at home and completely zonked out half way through the ride. I struggled to get home afterwards. Weird thing is that I set a PR on the Prospect Point climb (last half of the ride) @ 6.5 minutes :lol

Smells like bullshit to scare customers into using them as their sole LBS :rukidding:

it's that god damn reception that screws you over! i think my PR as per strava is about 6 minutes too LOL

I dont know what's changed tho... prior to this month i've never experienced any type of recording problems using my Garmin at stanley park...

Do you guys think it has anything to do with the fact that there are so many different segments ppl have made on that route?

And do u think that if we ride on different sides of the road, we would be picked up on different segments?

bcrdukes 06-21-2013 10:07 AM

Anybody looking for a pair of inexpensive'ish sunglasses for cycling, SpyOptic.com has a 20% off sale today only. Discount code is happysummer. :)

dat_steve 06-21-2013 10:43 AM

it could also be the fact that there are too many gamins in one location mixing up the signal?
I sometimes get the 'hrm' detected notification if someone with one rides by.

I rode with 2 other buddies, and we all have the same Garmin 800. Reception and segment timing on Stanley Park was normal on our end.

Do you guys normally ride when it's super busy and there are a lot of other cyclists with bike computers around? We were riding around 8-830ish on a rainy day, so roads were pretty much empty for the entire ride

I rode the Canadian Mental Health Association 60k yesterday, bit of a clusterf riding in such a big pack through all the lights in Vancouver, I can't say I particularly enjoyed it, and have never ridden the brakes so much, until the crowd dispersed throughout Richmond.

Riding and pacing with the original founder of Rocky Mountain bikes salvaged the day though, pretty cool humble guy to talk with.

^I thought you loved that thing?

604CEFIRO 06-24-2013 10:44 AM

Yea, "I did". But after spending significant time on the saddle, I think it's a bit too wide for me.

When Im in the saddle for longer than 3hrs, I find that my ass gets fatigued faster than my legs.

Time for a Selle Italia SLR. ;)

What is a good wireless computer with cadence? Something maybe less than <150 taxed + shipped?

I noticed that wiggle has the cateye wired version for quite an attractive price, but I don't want too much wires wrapped around my frame.

604CEFIRO 06-24-2013 02:29 PM

I'm gonna play with the fore / aft and angle a bit and see if it helps. Maybe I have the seat too far back.

I was fitted previously with the stock seat. I may have it setup wrong

i have a cateye double wireless hanging around that i dont use anymore since i got the garmin

works perfectly fine, completely wireless for both speed/cadence comes with speed magnet, cadence sensor mount and sensor for the crank, and the computer itself, all wireless, only thing you'll need are zip ties for the cadence mount on the chainstay and cranks.
