When I bought mine a few months ago the best deal I could manage was Sportchek w/ 20% team assist discount.

Nashbar canada has 20% off right now, brings the price to $310 before ship/taxes
There's were also some Taiwanese ones on Ebay for cheap.

Very unfortunate UnDeadMage

The best form of theft prevention is never leaving your expensive bike unattended.

No matter the lock, a bike thief will get through it, just a matter of time.

You have a fine looking machine, i would have never locked something that nice up and leave it unattended...

Sucks to have a bike stolen, hopefully we can all learn from it though.
Personally, I would never leave my bike unattended as well, and keep it within eyesight if I have to leave it. Although sometimes inconvenient, I take the front wheel with me, to make the bike a little bit less desirable. Either way, hope the original poster gets re-united with his bike!

speaking of front wheels. does anyone have a front wheel they'd like to sell me - i need it for my fixie so i'm not sure if i can just use a standard skewered road bike wheel or if i need to get the nutted skewer wheel (does that make sense?).

Anyhow, my current one has a messed up hub and won't spin well. preferably in black or silver, deeper rim for style points of course.

I don't know why a quick release wouldnt work, although a solid axle is easy enough to swap out of any hub.

Have you thought about re packing the bearings in your hub? Bearings will probably be less then a dollar (I'm assuming they aren't sealed), and a tube of your fav grease.

I didn't actually watch the above, but in 16 minutes he must cover all the important points

Expect a gongshow tomorrow... In a good way lol.

Tuesday bici rides are pretty casual. They split up in a few groups and just do laps of stanley park.

if i were to guess, there will be 50+ ppl easily lol.

hope to see some of you tomorrow

Friend wanted to go the bici group ride tomorrow, but one of our riding buddies has a family dinner.

Hoping to do a Spanish Banks/UBC/Iona/Steveston ride tomorrow morning. Hope my fat ass can handle it, since I haven't used my bike since August

Anyone with a Campagnolo lock ring tool I can borrow to install two cassettes? I'll swing by ofcourse

The tool is stuck at customs and I have two incomplete bikes hanging around. Better to give some beer money to RS'ers than to get charged to tighten two rings at a LBS.

Let me know
