LOL!

I used to go on another forum before and the community kinda died. But one day some middle east country hacked our forums and said he was going to delete everything cause he was bored. We told him to go ahead cause no one uses this site anymore and that it was useless. It got like 1 post every 2 weeks. So the guy returned the site to us since we didn't care if it got deleted. haha

So in brief, Twitter itself wasn't breached or hacked at all, but it was their DNS provider that was hacked. They changed the DNS entries for twitter.com and some other lesser known websites to point to a different web server that served that content.
