so by posting in a thread which you had NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE other than putting fuel to the fire to start something is warranted?
you mad? because your mass pm'ing every moderator about your issue was basically yelling, kicking, screaming for attention in the middle of futureshop so that they would give you a discount on the lcd just to shut u up.
if you have an issue with skinny, take it to pm.
PM'ING EVERY MODERATOR INCLUDING ME ABOUT YOUR ISSUE WITH HIM DOES NOT GET ON MY GOOD SIDE. NEITHER DOES STARTING WITH THE LINE "IVE BEEN A MEMBER OF RS SINCE ____"
go calm down, and have a burger. Quote:

Well, anybody who knows me knows I'm no fan of dictionaries or reference books - they're elitist. Constantly telling us what is or isn't true or what did or didn't happen. Who's Britannica to tell me the Panama Canal was finished in 1914? If I want to say it was happened in 1941, that's my right.
I don't trust books. They're all fact, no heart. And that's exactly what's pulling our country apart today. 'Cause face it, folks: we are a divided nation. Not between Democrats and Republicans, or Conservatives and liberals, or tops and bottoms. No. We are divided between those who think with their head, and those who know with their heart.
So I applaud you Skinnypupp, you are a good man with a good heart. Your information comes straight from the heart and that is all that matters. No one can argue against it, because simply its the best. I am on your side!

It's good to know though SG that if I had an issue with a member, you're a useless resource to turn to.

Anyway, I read through the blog and probably will pick up the book to read over the holidays. I enjoy reading other points of view that go against general consensus.
Seems to me these kinds of discussions are like the global warming or existence of God. You read your own convincing 'science' or 'logic' and then defend it.
For me, I've basically concluded that just like how everyone learns differently, different people respond to different diets. So while some cultures thrive on fats from seals and olive oils, other thrive on their agrarian diets (for example, the Okinawa peoples who are among the longest living peoples). They are also respectively disease free too.
There's also lots of genetic predispositions too. Some bodies/ethnicities respond negatively to fats. I randomly came across a youtube video the other day where a trucker who had diabetes and stage 2 colon cancer and was morbidly obese lost 203lbs, just by going from a primarily meat diet, to a primarily raw foods diet. My point is, there is no "one ideal diet fits all" solution. .
Hell, Michael Phelps consumes 12,000 (mostly carb) calories a day. This is the diet that cutting edge doctors are advocating for him.
"OMG So many complex carbs oh noes is he going become fat?!"
So I really disagree when you advocate to everyone in bold letters they should consume more saturated fats because it's good for you, and that anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron.
There's still a lot to learn out there in terms of ideal nutrition, especially when in the context of tailoring it to an individual.

There's still a lot to learn out there in terms of ideal nutrition, especially when in the context of tailoring it to an individual. | I didn't call anyone a moron for disagreeing with me. If everyone who followed huge "information cascades" was a moron, that would defy the definition completely. People trust what they're told for the most part, and this misinformation has been ingrained in our psyches for decades now. I believed it strongly too. In fact, I recently had to go edit some reviews I posted on a recipe site, because of all the negative comments I made to recipes that used too much saturated fat! Back then, I weighed about 220 lbs, was "skinnyfat" and had terrible cholesterol levels. Now my diet is 70% fat, much of it saturated, I was down to 180 lbs and have better than "recommended" cholesterol levels. (though I did gain some fat in the last few weeks eating junk food - 'tis the season right? ) My wife also saw improved numbers, although she doesn't eat exactly like I do. She tolerates carbs a lot better than I do, so a lot of her fat intake is replaced by that. But she still eats a lot more fat than typical, and has great bloodwork. Especially important for someone who had cholesterol issues in the past (she had her gall bladder removed when she was 18).
The morons are the people who dismiss facts, and resort to posting stupid threadbomb pics, and starting flame wars. Also, the people who knowingly spread misinformation. People like Al Gore are morons. The people who follow him are not. They just believe what they believe, and that's fine.
If you disagree with me, that's is fine. Everyone has the right to believe what they wish. When you can't harm anyone but yourself for living your life a certain way, I have absolutely no issues with it.
If you want to argue with me about something I believe in, I'm game. I love it! But the whole "let's gang up on SkinnyPupp" trend that is occuring lately is highly irritating. It's like so many people have been proven wrong, that they finally want to "get" me. Well it won't work - from now on, I'm just going to delete all those posts, and not respond to them at all. Maybe things will return back to normal, and we can go back to the good old days of people accepting new information, or not accepting new information, without resorting to threadbombs and fails. |

Rflush mass pm'd every mod to complain. might as well result in running into futureshop, yelling, kicking, and screaming, to grab attention.
we have created parts of this forum for situations like that, but he FAILED to even go thru that route. Proper routes get resolved.
and my pet peeve are ppl that start every pm w/ "ive been a member since ____". what is that suppose to prove? that what wrong doing they may have done is justified because they have been a member for a while? If that is his trump card, then sorry, it doesnt work like that.
Go have a burger, this will resolve a lot more.
And you are absolutely right, i am a useless resource in this case to turn to, because i couldnt give a flying fuck because it seems like Rflush is crying that Skinnypupp stepped on his puma.
Koodos' for standing up for him though. Messaging every buddy buddy mod he knows was another brilliant idea. Quote:

You really think PMing two mods is mass PMing? I PMed you and the VAC head mod, two out of many. I had thought since you were running RS I would PM you, and Orgasm_Donor since he is the head VAC mod. If you end up heading to futureshop, make sure you go grab a calculator because clearly 2 mods is not every moderator.
As you can see, it is not just me who has a problem with SP, but many other members as well. Members that support RS and members who help contribute to make it the community it is. There is no doubt that what Skinnypupp did to RS is astonishing and no one is arguing against that. What I and many other members appear to have problems with is that when we post valid opinions or points, skinnypupp will just 'Fail' us, say we are wrong, then when we prove we are right, he deletes the posts, or edit it or hands out bans. He suffers from some low self esteem issues that clearly everyone sees. Banning people and removing posts to silence people? Come on, this isn't Germany circa 1939.
I would love to go out and have a burger and I invite you Skinnypupp to come grab one with me since we are both in HK.

i sat back and thought about it for one second and realized this.
Things regular members dont see, but assume.
1) even if a post is deleted, i still see a little link click on the top right corner of that post that i can click on which will show the post that was deleted
2) no fail button is set on the usergroups with admin control panel access. one existing usergroup has to have that function.
3) whenever any situation happens, its always the moderators fault.
ok my bad on this one, i made the assumption you pm'd every mod it seemed every mod forwarded the issue to me.
Many members have an issue with taylor192, with hypa, with mugen evolution, with asian1, ulic, hyde the list goes on. sorry sunny, YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL AND YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE.
so this all comes down to having a stupid little button called FAIL?! SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING WITH ME??? DID THIS HURT YOUR E-PRIDE? If thats the case, I'll tell skinny to have it removed. Seems many ppl can adopt the praise of thanx, but the thought of fail, a tad little button at the corner of someones post, can cause so much drama. shit son, grow some, you are still on here arent you???
This isnt germany, you are right, but this isnt a democracy either. Private message board. PRIVATE. if only everyone in the rest of the REAL WORLD outside of this message board say all the shit that is said in here, and based their assumptions on the true person via those words, we would ALL BE FUCKED...
Im not in HK. and i totally dare you to go meet up with skinny, take a pic, and post it up on RS. Quote:

| This study was just published today. They analyzed 5 other studies that included over 300,000 subjects. It shows that there is no evidence that saturated fat increases risk for heart disease.

When I was in Vegas last week I went to In 'N out burger twice. Yes, their burgers are great! Not massive, just tasty and super fresh!
My recommendation of a great fast food burger similar to that of the In 'N out burger is at 'Bronco Belle' in Brentwood mall. The $4.50 lean beef burger is very simple, very fresh and quite delicious!
