he deserved it, was funny to see him cry haha |

To all the people who think this sobbing 18 year old was just an innocent boy who was going through a 'phase' of playing with markers: You are so ignorant it's not even funny. |
We need this judge in Canada. Honorary Canadian citizen! |
8 years is definitely harsh imo. To be honest, I think 1 year + being forced to repaint every place he damaged would be a much more suitable punishment. Even if he stays clean throughout his entire sentence, he's going to come out with no employable skills, and will now be a burden on society. Not sure about that particular prison, but many institutions in the States are privatized and for-profit. He could've tagged the house of someone who knows someone who is a shareholder at this place. Of course this is just speculation, so what do I know. |
I can't really understand this so she vandalized something while under the influence, but in rehab they gave her even more of the same more powerful drugs |
On the harsh side but I'd rather see them error on harsh then Lenient. |
Its funny someone knew I was in training for 2 years to become an Astronaut with 200 Military Psychic's and they threw me in Rehab, Failed a impossible to fail! drug test and used Mind Control against me. I think all of my Doctors are going to jail. |

This is fucking stupid big deal she talked to some tank in a foreign country, how is that Illegal. And how does it justify going to Rehab. |
I've often always wondered if petty crimes like vandalism, theft, car theft, b&e is so much more susceptible to repeat offenses is because the punishment "is" appropriate to the crime; as in the idea of small crime, small punishment does more to encourage than discourage. Posted via RS Mobile |
How is it a crime talking to you thats fucking bullshit, Tanks have wireless internet how is using Facebook a crime. |

i hope they appeal cuz that shit is crazy; but in the states its about punishment and not rehabilitation unless you're a celebrity or rich in which case you'll just get community service etc to get taught a lesson even with giving him opportunities in the past 8 years is crazy...... and the judges remarks about being "a young man blah blah blah" he won't be when he gets out lol instead of a chance of parole in 2 years they should have just given him a 2 year sentence with no chance of parole (and no criminal record, so he's able to get his life straight when he comes out) |

Regarding petty crimes it is possible that there wasn't a harsh enough sentence there are also other possiblity such as drug addiction and simply lacking any other skills. If that is the case doing long jail sentence will do nothing to deter them from reoffending. Long sentence might deter kids doing petty crime as a sign of defiance or just for fun however the other side of the argument is that after the kid do long sentence he will come out of it with an ex con label nd possible acquiring more criminal skills and contact than he had before entering jail. I agree, the judge made an example of him because like they said in the report that area has a problem with graffiti. Honestly, I don't feel sorry for the guy. He knew what he was doing, he got caught and now he has to pay for it by serving 8 years. |
