stupid fog.

heavy fog out in vancouver, people running 4way stops because either they're going way too fast or just dont try to look for signs. almost got rear ended

stupid people need to slow down when its fog as thick as it is outside

/end rant

Fafine 12-26-2009 07:45 PM

Finally got a chance to use my car's front foglights, but I didn't notice much of a difference....

Presto 12-26-2009 08:45 PM

^^^

Foglights are just to make your car more noticeable so that people can see you more easily in the low visibility conditions

OHHH!!!!!!! So they don't really improve the actual driver's vision???????????

LoLL!!! no wonder there wasn't much of a difference....

snowball 12-26-2009 08:56 PM

^

it does improve driver vision in thick fog when you use it instead of your headlights since there wont be a big cloud of white light directly in front of your view from the headlights.

In BC you're allowed to have your foglights on instead of your headlights when there's fog.

err... for my vehicle, the only way to turn on the fog lights is by first turning on the HIDs. -___-

I just can't stand the moron's that think fog means driving around with their high beams on. I'm going blind damn it.

tofu1413 12-26-2009 09:35 PM

People should speed up when there's fog. That way the people won't hit each other as easily. :dizzy:

nack 12-26-2009 10:23 PM

+1 omfg dumbass people don't realize high beams REDUCE visability for both themselves and oncoming traffic.

How about turning on both? I don't get why people don't like to turn on their headlights at night.

!Tigger 12-26-2009 11:32 PM

because their cars turn on the speedo light, and they think that their headlights are on.

asian_speedster 12-26-2009 11:47 PM

Watch out, some of the side streets can be icy/frosted since the fog brings the moisture closer to the ground. Driving home i noticed some slippage!

ivanz 12-27-2009 12:02 AM

Yep, lots of condensation at higher elevations. Gonna be an ice rink tomorrow morning.
People in Vancouver can't drive regardless of what weather it is, so no surprise there.

RCubed 12-27-2009 12:07 AM

^ My driveway is a total ice rink right now.
I didnt realize how slippery it was. Almost slid into my garage door. Haha.
Brick driveway FTL.

nabs 12-27-2009 12:11 AM

yeah i was slipping too on my way to work... crazy, but i kept a steady pace until some dumbasses turned in front of me and slammed their brakes for no apparent reason. then i skidded! lol.

Peturbo 12-27-2009 02:32 AM

Now with the fog, I noticed a lot of people in vancouver have a head/taillight bulb out.
Pretty dangerous in the fog.

skyxx 12-27-2009 02:38 AM

^ I always do pre-winter checks on my car. I think everyone should. Check if all lights are working, etc etc
