I think M. St. Louis should've been on the team. The guy is a work horse with the lightning and has had 80+ points or so for the past couple of years.
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Marc Savard make the team too... along with M. Green....
I do see Yzerman's point though, we have enough scoring in the first 2 lines that we would need some checking FWDs to battle the likes of Ovechkin, Malkin, etc... so having a "bigger" team with speed works best.

st.louis and savard are pretty much the same player
and imo i think the "shutdown" line is going to be centered by Toews

You would pick Toews over Richards as the shutdown Center?
Nash/Crosby/Iginla
Marleau/Thornton/Heatley
Perry/Getzlaf/Staal
Morrow/Richards/Bergeron
Toews
I would like to try this lineup first. It's all good... I like the team.
I bet it was tough for Yzerman to pick. Team Canada is probably the Hardest one to make it to.

i think Toews is a better defensive center then richards from everything ive heard/seen
i thought from the beggning that was kind of the idea to pencil him in there as that shut down guy

didnt expect bergeron and richards to both make it, i thought one or the other plus doan and morrow for the shut down line
the difference between richards and toews is richard plays hard in the corners and hits hard and toews skates with his head down

So I've been blog readin bout this team.
I am too surprised Patrice Bergeron made the cut, but it doesn't come to a surprise from a lot of the bloggers out there, and the person I questioned in this thread hit the spot
1. Iggypop was terrible with Crosby n Nash in CGY. They move st.louis there and they looked better
2. Bergeron is crosbys old line mate back in jr. And everyone knows how much dick hockeycanada sucks when it comes to loyalty. Tho this year's teams is well balanced
I hit the D selection hehe
And I will be getting heatley or Rick Nash Posted via RS Mobile |

The Perry/Getzlaf/Staal line is scary.
Morrow/Richards/Bergeron is a better fit considering Richard's 2 way game is much better than Toews. It also helps that Richards is a much grittier player that is willing to go to the corners which is something that Toews sorta lacks
My biggest surprise was seeing Bergeron on the team...that came out of left field

Regular season and olympic matches are totally different, so it's hard to say how their current season stacks up upon their international play. I am fucking stoked though!

I wonder if Yzerman and crew asked Crosby who he prefers to play wing with him...and he said Bergeron due to their chemistry at Juniors .. who knows.. we'll see who plays with him then..just a thought |
