Does anybody remember when Bret Hart appeared on MadTV? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ria8ClDBgW4 |
Is he still alive? Brett talks about him in his hall of fame speech like he is dead. But anyways, I really miss the glory days, wwf sucks today Posted via RS Mobile |

It was good to see Bret back... I PVR'd the show and just watched the segment with Bret. WWF before was wayyyy better.. Hart Foundation vs DX feud was AWESOME. USA vs Canada. I wish Bret stays longer to help the new Hart Dynasty get a push and be in some great "feuds" as well lol... After that kick by McMahon, dare I say Bret vs Vince at Wrestlemania?? LOL |

i love the x division in tna, so exciting to watch compare to the wwe, where its just big guys doing squashes on smaller, yet still pretty big guys |
^ ahh i see, i guess i'd be a bit pissed too but it seemed kind of harmless :lol |
WWE may have died down a lot here, but when you catch an episode of raw or smackdown, those stadiums are packed to the max. I wouldn't really say TNA is taking over, they wrestle in some wiener stadium in front of a small crowd. IMO TNA is kinda ruining wresting with their super fake finishers and moves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YBs3I8kDuw Definitely a two man effort |
overall, watching both Impact and Raw from monday night, TNA had the better show. its as if WWE didnt even try, nor was intimidated with Hogan/TNA, Bret was the focus of the whole show. one of the biggest concern in the wrestling boards now is how Bret will perform at Wrestlemania, he is no longer allowed to take "bumps" according to Doctors who helped him recover from his stroke few years back its most likely going to be a Street Fight match between him and Vinnie Mac with Hart mostly dominating. |
^ he prob will be dominating for most of the show an then somehow get screwed over and loose lol |

TNA did indeed have the better wrestling, from the Knockouts to the main event. I find the quality of the wrestling in TNA is much better than WWE, with the exception of a few wrestlers. WWE didn't even need to try or be intimidated by TNA, and they won't have to be for a long, long time. While I feel that TNA is doing a good job of cultivating their homegrown superstars (AJ Styles and Samoa Joe come to mind), they've tried to replicate what WCW did to grab viewers by taking already established big names and plunking them into their show. The problem with that, is that these guys they have (Sting,Nash,Hall,Hogan, even Waltman) are so past their prime it isn't even funny, and they all (YES even Hogan) have minimal drawing power now. I'm sure it gets them a decent ratings number but it won't do much more than that. WWE isn't losing momentum to TNA, it's just changing it's audience. Vince did the same thing in the early 90's with all the silly gimmicks and trying to create a real family environment, then tried to stick with those fans he created by rolling along with the New Generation and the Attitude Era, which he kinda stole from ECW. Now it's like he's going back to the younger fans, and I've even read he's trying to make Raw/Smackdown PG, to encourage more younger viewers. Quote:

The 1st clip I posted where Sasso was imitating Ventura, I thought it was real when I first saw it. Back then, the internet wasn't such a big thing, so there was really no one to tell me otherwise. That clip doesn't even show all of it. Later in the episode, we saw Bret backstage continuing to stir it up. |
The news on last night's ratings is that TNA did a 1.5 overall, and will probably be moving to Mondays permanently. TNA might have the odd good wrestling match, and they definitely have some good talent there. But their booking is beyond horrible. Having new Monday Night Wars is good news though! |

WWE has gotten bloated over the past couple of years as the company got bigger Mick Foley and Taz were rumoured to be completely furious working for Vince Mcmahon because of his unpredictable mood swings, thats why they both left to TNA and now that Stephanie Mcmahon and Triple H will eventually take over the company, Shane Mcmahon apparently left for this reason because he cant work with his family anymore. He might be working with UFC soon as global PR as an underdog, im rooting for TNA to get the same success WCW had, i just want them to stop hiring WWE rejects and has been. They should bring Paul Heyman to book their shows. and TNA had to hire Jeff Hardy at the worst time possible, he was just indicted of all drug charges he had back in september, Hardy left or was rumoured to be fired from WWE back in aug due to wellness policy failure Quote:

But I'm inclined to wonder if that 1.5 rating was due to all the hoopla and all the "big" names coming back, which is something they can't consistently do. Hopefully this kind of a kickstart will lead to some better feuds that can keep the ratings coming. I wouldn't mind knowing what the quarter hours were to see if in fact the actual wrestling was holding viewers attention! |
TNA even brought the Nasty Boyz back LOL...good times!! I might flip it to their channel once in a while just to see who they get next lol.. and I don't follow WWE anymore. |
