i thnk people are making a big deal out of this. when US had its security laxed. even after they had warnings. They seems to need a wake up call/jolt every now and then to get thr act together.

the security acency just got a bigger budget / manpower becasue of this. It wont be a big surpise to later find out that THEY let him pass on purpose

It says small purses are allowed, right? I wonder if they'll allow men to carry 'em on...

Hey, if they say you aren't allowed to bring a bag onboard, where else are you going to stash a couple books, keys, wallet, etc? I'm sure most people don't want to sit in a seat on a plane for five or six hours with pant pockets crammed full of stuff.

I travelled from YVR to YYZ and BOS while the ban was in effect. When you check in your bags they tried to suggest I check in my Tumi carry on laptop bag, that was full of random stuff. I told them I wasn't going to, and they let me carry it aboard the plane anyway.
