Running:: 5k, 10k, SunRun, 1/2 Marathon, Marathon

Heyo...

Just wondering if anyone casually runs as an independent sport.

Training?
Running Routes?
Events?
etc...
Hell...just to throw it into the pot, Triathalons?? I do want to be active to a point where i can actually do this

I'm currently registered for the Langley Historic Half Marathon, and then continuing for training for the BMO Van Marathon and the Scotiabank 1/2 Marathon.

Running with a few other guys to raise money for BC Cancer Agency. If anyone interested, our FB Group is here....

We took the scenic route.

Here is the nike+ plurk:

1h32min
14.13 km on 5/1/2010 at 7:17 PM with a pace of 6'33"/km http://nikerunning.nike.com/n/r/en_C...rc=fbk_ab_plus

But damnit.....that must have been at least 6-7km of uphill running.

Hey Ray,

Do your lower calves ever hurt when running uphill?
I find that my lower legs hurt like a bitch when I run uphill or when I put a lot of pressure on them while exercising?
Can you recommend anything to help? I do stretch most of the time before and after workouts.

Yep...but they don't as much anymore because all my long runs consist of uphill running.

Weighted lunges should help you strengthen ur uphill run.
